theres a semi complete emu for eq2, open source, but going at a slow speed. i was told by blam that eq2 is mainly a group game, so soloing isnt much good, and on a pserver its doubtful there will always b alot of ppl on.

This was true BEFORE 2006. I got it when it first came out and solo'ing was nonexistent. Came back this year and it was a hell of a lot better. Can't you change mob stats anyways?

with mmos nowadays they are way too large to modify something that extreme.

wow, l2, eq2 all have massive lands and changing each mobs stats would take forever imo.

ill giv eq2 a try then, im really nt sure how far on the emu has got though.

when first used wowemu it was about 40% complete, i look now and its atleast 95%, only a few npc bugs left to sort out as far as i can see.

only thing i hate about playing private servers before official is it takes so much longer finding out the way to do things.

Solo griniding is the best way to level (before 55ish anyway). But you have to group to do instances to get decent items. Typical party size is 5 people but for endgame there are 10 man raids and 40 man raids. (Not sure if there are any 20 man raids atm but there will be in burning crusade).
It's the other way round actually.. there's no such thing as a 10 man raid... Oo - 20man raids = Zul'Gurrub and AQ 40man raids are MC,BWL,Onyxia lair and Naxx.

Anyway I would say EQ2 or WoW... EQ2's graphics are more realistic then WoW's but i havn't played EQ2 myself.. But it looks good..

10 Man raids do exist, you 10man Upper Blackrock Spire, and Lower Blackrock Spire, although LBRS is usually done 5man.
20 man = Zul'gurub and The easier Ahn'qiraj instance
40 man = MC, Onyxia, Blackwing Lair, The Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxaramas.
In the Burning Crusade they are making raids 25 man.

Ohright yeah... I always overlook things like UBRS just generally think of end game raids and I saw I missed out the 40man AQ...thanks for clearing that up,

My brain really isn't with WoW these days :P UBRS used to be 15 man... ah that was the day..

I was a reputatble hunter on my server, and people would play me 10g a time to come to UBRS with them to kite Drakkisath
