Evolution Server 2.3

Some of you may be aware of Evo server from when it was under the Mir Revenge Umbrella of servers. I was working with Provectus (Tallos, on here) previously. I am now working on my own and Evo will be launching soon. I have the support of Lone and his team at MMORPGGeek as well, most people will know lone has a lot of experience working with Mir Servers.
I don't want to get in to a debate with regards to what happened with Mir Revenge, most people already know and also previous arguments on these forums between Prov and anyone was nothing to do with me, so hopefully we can start with a clean slate
Server details:
Exp/items Rate: Medium Rate
Starting level: level 1
Server Version: 2.3
Starting Gold: 0

Some Features:

1. Quests added to nearly every cave.
2. Multi challengers for solo or groups
3. Group specific caves
4. Hard mode for caves
5. Evolving Monsters
6. New pvp orientated challengers and capturable towns
7. Custom Animations for spells (these have been edited using spells taken from many other clients, cutting multiple spells together etc. Can see a video of these on the forums)
8. Many more new features

Dedicated Server specs:
Processor: 2.40ghz Intel Pentium 2
Ram: 3.24GB

Well hello there, again.

Must admit it was a damn fun server... but unfortunately it had made a few mistakes along the way and couldn't really be fixed without a Wipe... and yea, it spiralled down-hill.

However, one of the best PVP/PK servers I've ever played...

I'll give it a shot again, if I'm in the mood for Mir

Last evo was wicked as well as getting a high user count. i was on last night helping testing things and all seems well.

Probs best 2.3 server ive ever played and hoping itll be even better this time round

Yeh unfortunately I was not aware of stackable storage bug and when I asked Jamie about it, I was told there was no problem with it lol, which obviously isn’t true. I learnt a lot from the first Evo and hopefully that will make this Evo even better

Not sure what you refer to by stupid donations but last time the rules were that you could only donate for something after it had dropped ingame and after a certain time period had passed. So for instance if a heaven ring dropped a week later 1 heaven ring would be available for donations. Most donations where for exp chests or for pets, pets wont be ingame this time round. Donations will be returning back to the normal format people are used to.

You mean if a heaven ring drops ingame 1000 heaven rings will be available for donations, ruining everyone elses chance of being second person to be a owner of a heaven ring, which when in pvps people would be like fk hes got a heaven ring, might be hard to kill... donations will be the end of this server.

Not going to argue with you as you clearly didnt read it, the old way isnt how it is going anymore, its the standard donation form set that most servers that have a dedi use.

Previously it was if 1 item drops to someone then 1 item is available to donate for once 1 person buys that 1 item it is gone from donations.

If you say so, just remember this, people get greedy, it's in human nature, someone offers you £50 for a item, I highly doubt you are gonna say no thats unfair, you gonna say, well if no one finds out whats the harm.

That is not how donations are going this time round. They will work the same way they do on most servers. Previously that was exactly how it worked and only items that dropped were donated for. So you are trying to say that something we did in the past that was already done and not being done in the future wouldnt be done as we would be to greedy lol.

I really hope you understand it this time.

This is a thread to discuss the server not to argue with people regarding aspects of the server that are no longer working the way they previously did unless you want something i am removing kept, however you are actually argueing that something we are no longer doing wouldnt work because we would get greedy lol.

lol i'm argueing that just cause you say u aint gonna accept behind the scenes donations doesn't mean it's not gonna happen, another trait of humans is that we lie, you might need a sudden increase in cash because of a irl financial problem, things change, people see selling pixels for money as quick cash, if no one finds out then bam its fine, and yes I understand that you are saying you won't repeat previous mistakes, but I'm just saying I hope you keep to that because the moment u sell 1 item behind the scenes for abit extra is when a long chain of donations start and the server spirals to a nice big explosion lol

Ok, still dont think i explained very well.

This time round donations will work like they do on Four Heroes and Mir Revenge (Just an example), you will be able to donate for certain items. They dont have to drop for them to go on the donations list.

The only things on the donation list previously had to off dropped, was how it used to work when server was up before, now its back to standard format of everyone can donate if they want to.

m8 read lol he said that was the OLD donation System he is now using the same donation system as every other server.

Set items exp pots etc cn be donated for

I want to kill myself sometimes. That was how donations used to work. They are not like that anymore.

Items will be available for donations no matter if they drop or not. Paras and Pros wont be available for donations as they will be very very rare on the server. However Four Heroes has Paras and Pros for donating and is pretty much the most succesful server out at the moment lol.

If you dont like playing servers that have a donation system then dont play Evo.
