Hiya guys,

As the title says this is just a honest plea for the economy. Hopefully this is taken seriously even with the trolls out there and the people that simply don't care.

Multi-clienting needs to be stopped all together, ASAP. Hopefully just like others out there there's people that are equally concerned by this. If there was ever a reason to "worry" over any type of future of this great server, then disabling this feature should be on the list of priorities.

Why? Because no doubt just like anywhere, the Economy is a fragile balance to maintain and can be torn very easily usually without people noticing before it's to late. The people of this server shouldn't be able to multi-client miners, which in turn gets people ridiculous amounts of Platinum Ore, Adamantine Ore, Black Iron Ore & Gold Ore for personal use to develop OP kits. And this is while they are doing other things on there main character, such as leveling. They should be doing one or the other, not both.

This is also effecting the Market. As what isn't used for personal use is being sold for continually slowly crushing prices, due to the vast amount that's being sold on a daily basis because people are literally multi-clienting miners 24/7.

If everything I've mentioned above is allowed to continue, then slowly but surely the economy will die. High stated items will be worth nothing, Ore's will sell for nothing but a Mars Bars etc. Please respect the fact that this is a properly constructed post, with nothing but the concern for the future of this server.

Thanks.

Plat already struggles to sell, Adamantine sells nicely.

The damage has already been done unfortunately, Remove it now and it's the same problem as the High stat gemmed items.

I have 20 or so pieces of Plat in store, this will give me an unfair advantage over those who wouldn't have the ability to multi client mine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way in which the number of clients is limited currently is by IP address?

I would urge against reducing that to 1 connection per IP as it means if more than 1 person in the same house/flat wants to play, they won't be able to.

Honestly I don't know if it's all that easy to prevent multi-logging though. Even if you could reliably enforce 1 client per PC, there's nothing to stop people using VMs or second PCs.

This, if you start limiting even further by IP people who have multiple people playing from 1 house will no longer be able to do so.

Actually agre with you on this, me and my brothers struggle to get on being 4 of us, it sucks when all 4 of us are stuck indoors =/ 1 has to sit and watch, doesn't happen often but when it does it's **** if anything stop the multiclienting and up the IP connecting, dowt a lot of people are gna sit there and watch over 2,3 pcs/laptops but switching screens on 1 is a lot easier

There we have it (Universe Implodes on itself with deano agreeing with me :P)

A prime example of why IP restrictions can cause trouble for the game.

Its easy to spot AFK miners and miners using macros. GMs just need to scout the mines and ban who they find. Also check who the main character of that account is via IP and ban the main char.

Banning is the only way :p

They still haven't mentioned whether or not they deem it bannable though.

Every time we ask it will be discussed.

Missing the forest for the trees tbh, the issue with the economy on the server is the massive amount of gold in game. When was the last time you lost money on a hunt?

Gems sell so well because people have the money to gamble without issue, hell some make money from just running to and from iwt picking up and selling lvl 33 armours.

Have said a few times now, remove the mining feature and make ores drop from mobs in mines instead, play it don't afk it!
And maybe put the plats and such in boss drops also?

Drops or Those Dirt Piles having a better chance of Ores instead of Pots/Sun pots

Also not having specific Purity finds, have those randomised so you can actually get Higher purity ore.

Just ban multiclienting, simple.

Far too easy to get around Multi Clients though.

Why not just allow one mir exe like euro did. No need to do it by ip.

easiest solution is to take mining out, and just make the ore drop from mobs in the mines. simple. You have to play then.
