I'm in agreement with low exp rates. Really what is the rush. It's all doing the same things regardless of level.
Focus on making the earlier levels enjoyable. Nobody wants to grind forever to reach level 26 for example. Just don't overlook what the game offers at a lower level.
Another suggestion on the topic of not overlooking the original aspects of mir. Why not add in further floors to the lower dungeons designed at higher level players, I'm sure there are spare mob textures that look appropriate or if not use the same of the previous floors of the dungeon and tweak the AI of the mobs for the harder/new floors, personally I'd like to explore WT further than KR, I see this as more appealing than a "new" dungeon.
Give different areas specific drops so people hunt in a variety of places.

a good idea would be to not be totally retarded and give people starting gold.

No retarded would be making 500 chars and god knows how many accounts, instead of actually playing the game levelling and making more gold...

You shouldn't do it on running server, pple should know beforehand what they go into.
And I suppose it would be better if it could be sweetened like Felicity here says by adding some new floors to the orig low level caves with some new spin on the same mobs so it wouldn't be too much work.
I liked the point someone made here on forum in some other thread - that Western offical mirs were all made too easy and non-risk because the thinking was only eastern players are willing to grind and live with risk of loosing items (also something about sandbox which I don't quite know what that means), I would add it is sad that even private servers seem to be also soft on players in the same ways including this acem and mir2forever (I've only played these two but imagine it not much different elsewhere)

Pion talks sense too. Most ppls best memories of mir are group hunts when everyone was too low to solo bosses. Walling in STb7/DD or getting a wiz alive to zt kr with enough pots to kill it.
Am told orc cave boss needed a group to get to it and to kill so this is good. Most servers seem to make it easier. More orc cave (without the safe spots) type mobs n maps would be welcome.

BDD is the worst thing to happen in mir, especially when it comes to levelling.
Any euro clone now players once around 33 mark just group in, go BDD and get wizzies to TS the **** out of it, get to level40 in no time.

I'd like to make it challenge getting to 40, like make gold so scarce to get that nobody will be able to level in the style 'pots no matter'. Best times were when you had to scavenge to sell every little bit and when leveling you didn't gulp pots with abandon but relied at least a little on regen. That meant hunting in easier caves for longer time than otherwise (than your level warrants) so mobs wouldn't beat the living daylights out of you.
Not sure it was usa or other mir at the start when there was korean official drops and raking cats hardly dropped except few coins here and there and it was so poor it was beyond joke. It might have been at one point in euro I think but then it was adjusted for western lazy bums who need to have it easy.

That's actually a good idea. On V1 added items already shown in gold color.
Would be good to see a colorsystem similair as in WoW. Below just an idea:
Common quality WHITE= common items/skillbooks / minor stat bonus (dura+)
Uncommon quality GREEN= uncommon items/skillbooks / extra stat bonus (dura+, extra slots, extra stats)
Rare quality BLUE= rare items/skillbooks / medior stat bonus (dura+, extra slots, extra stats)
Epic quality PURPLE= epic items/skillbooks / major stat bonus (dura+, extra slots, extra stats)

thats a useless system in mir , i personally like mir because you can see straight away if someone has a nice kit.
Go play a high rate if you want to see lots of coloured in items and 10000's of them.

So.. You won't play unless pt/DSS/pt mobs have a different name.. Even though Pt has had a massive graphical overhaul in ace....logic?
