Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

Rares are what ever you make them, upgrading from coral to a dragon is about as much difference as upgrading from power to boundless, the only real difference is with lower stats and more rares, the game is more challenging so when you get these "rares" you will have a better feeling than when you got a more powerful item which was much less rare on ace ( for example powerring)

There is so much content from level 15-30 that is just bypassed in most servers, and these 15 levels account for a large portion of items in game.

Upgrading is ALL about risk, but Orbs removed that defeating the whole purpose of upgrading. It's up to the player if they want to upgrade a very rare item, if you haven't go the balls to do it then that is your own problem, some of us ain't arsed if we break something, we just farm for it again and try next time.

Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

All the talk about OP kits doesn't make sense. To be honest everyone having +1 or +2 violet rings and thats the only change between different people is not fun at all. Mir is all about trying to get upgrades, make them, find them or trade for them. If no sockets exist and gemming is super hard then whats the fun? Everyone has the same kit and the server is even more carebear.

The problem most of you have is with those who cheat or those who buy things for irl cash and end up with crazy kits. The only way you will stop this is by making no item variability and then the game is dead for sure. As far as gear outpacing content, thats more to do with balancing content. Silly to reduce the fun of making, finding and buying kit in order to balance gear and content, just balance the content, this is always a more exciting option.

Changing geming, orbs and slots won't really fix your perceived problem, it will merely lower the gear variability, lower the amount you can upgrade anything and make all the content have to be relatively the same in order to compensate for the gear.

IMO there is nothing "exciting" about level 50's running around with mc 7 violet rings, something you could get on a level 20 char....

Yer im in this camp, good post.
i also dont think orbs should be removed, just rarer, so wen one does drop, its a fkin great drop! and it be valuable too id say.

curse was fine too, not op. a quick rt and your away!
i thought pets were shyte tho, deva wondered too far, im sure on euromir it stuck to your shoulder more, like a pirates parrot!

Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

a server would be intersting if the devoloper made atleast 1 rare drop per elite boss like izt or zt and so on. or 1-2 gold bars for run,
atleast it determines people to hunt rathan than do the sz job talking doing nothing.
How ever i do agree with the trust merchent in game, as you see, many server at this time, use the stall system which i regret due to the hassle just to sell an item in a hurry.

Multiple level caves should be given out to each 7-10 levels. to keep people more focused on level, as the same place gets ridiculous when you there for days, and it gets really tedious.

Orbs should be in game, but should be 20% - 25% droped, and will make an increase within the mir community market.

Special Rings, Xtreme rare.

Charge a £3 - £5 subscription a month to get by costs, helps keep the server running for years.
(NO SHOP) (with out a community mir wouldnt be here)

The above is just a personal suggestions, you dont have to agree but it would be nice to debait on considering this is a forum and idea's make a mass effect within developers, and make an old community come back together.

Rare per a drop? going to a boss hoping for a rare from expecting a rare.. Takes the fun out of boss hunting if you ask me.

I would say it's already 7-10 levels before you change cave.

20-25% would make them less rarer then they were on V1, seems mix feelings on orbs, i would say a developer open a poll on it but i don't agree with them in game.

Subscription is decent idea but i think it would hurt the community, the fact they are paying to play a private server may put people off, i think a server tried this already and it didn't last long, could be wrong.

Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

subscriptions defeats any advantages between rich and poor, and it will simply be down to skill/time/effort, thats if it took place, rather than a rich male or female, starting off with mc dc sc boost, and exp boosts.

Alternative atleast it pays for a secuirty within the dedi server, to keep it off the host's back for irl costs.
or even a % of cost.

Majority of games are subscription based, or Voucher based, and if people pay to play it would make it equal and fair between rich and poor.

nothing worse buying stuff from a game shop like £100 + worth, then being told, that the server is shutting down, astleast with subscriptions, majority of that money will be spent on the community by keeping the server live, paying for host Electric/Dedicated Line/ and any damaged or outdated hardware.

NN all im off to bed :)

Well as you know orbs(safe enhacing items) have been there forever in every mmorpg.
ditching them making people break items takes alot of fun from the game too now people will just only +1 items cause +2/3 will be too much of a risk thinking bout the fact that it'll be harder to get gems too.
Orbs should be dropping but like only from (omaking-evilmir-darkdevil-orcboss-etc) they are endgame content keep them at endgame and it's all fine.

Also another idea, gives bosses more hp and damage and make them drop more frequently but especially beefy higher damage dealing boss is what i'd want to see cause i remember killing ec at level 36 solo on a wizzy.
also hope the ranged kektal's from foxcave can get ixed so they'd actually do anything after they got stunned by ec(ec breaks most of your tamed pets)

This is nonsense, its a simple fact of im spending x amount of time hunting to get one of the rarest items in game, after ive spent x amount of time and finally found the item, should i really chance breaking it to ad >>+1<< stat to it? so i can spend x amount of time again n do it all over again?
for me personally its a matter of time, yeh u can say its only pixels, and ur right, it is only pixels, but when im spending 2 months to get that item, its no longer just pixels, its 2 months of my time and effort, you dont hit a casino and spend 2 hours gambling to win big, then when u get a good return on ur efforts so far gamble it all again, thats a morons game/way of thinking, you simply walk away when ur up.
that being said i dont think orbs should be all over the place, i think they should be as rare as the rare items themselves, im not even remotely suggesting, that upgrade without risk of breaking should be a common occurance, but like i said and like you all know, ur not gonna gem a mir sword/heaven armor when the whole server been hunting for 2 months and only 1 has dropped, thats just pure nonsense.

Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

keep orb rates to the server criteria if there going to be released.

What would be really interesting is to add a system that can craft, mutiple items to make an orb (like a gem) it will make more old caves useful, to get the Materials you need to make the orbs. That way you can work for them while leveling, and it would use up alot of old dungeon / caves like wt / bug cave / st etc etc.

another idea i would add would be a quest that enables you to get the 7 holy items, (named after gods HolySwordofZues EvilStaffofHades etc etc, and there would be dungeons, temples, caves with gods to kill to maintain 50/50 chance on an token item, that a particlar god would drop so you can trade it in to an archaeologist Npc. to recieve the item. oviously make them pretty rare if there going to be nice stats.

Bosses every 3 hours.

So, lets say 8 ZT killed in a 24 hour period, meaning at minimum of 8 rares dropped.

Now times that by a week, 56 rares.

Do that by a month, 224 rares.

Seems a little OTT, no? lol.

i would like added items to be rare, orbs just make thing OP end of. its always pixels mate nothing more, whether you spend a month or a year hunting it . if you wanna uprade some items there should ALWAYS be risk involved no matter what :P

Re: Mir Chronicles - Coming Soon

If orbs do get added, 100% take out Lesser orbs.

Adjust chances of Orbs working, especially on an already upgraded item.

Don't mind it been easy to orb DC+1 onto a DSS but been able to use 6-8 orbs and have ASpeed+3 DC+3 is a bit silly.

You are making it sound like you HAVE to upgrade, items by default are good enough to get you through leveling, upgrading is a bonus, you keep saying you don't want to farm a item then to upgrade and break it? you don't think others are in the same situation? Shows who gives a **** and who doesn't tbh, if your willing to improve your item, you have to be willing to lose your item.

If Orbs are used, you will see +3 kits all over the place, i don't care how rare they make it, it will happen, but without them and you see a +3 item, then you know that boy has some balls!.
