Id rather these slots just open with a relic from a much harder boss, it really takes out any meaning of progression doing it the way you suggest. Bag openings should work the same way too. I'm happy to donate for things but it should realistically be quality of life rather than skipping out and out progression.
Game wouldn't be worth playing if you just buy your way to everything.
I've not been able too mate, only gems and orbs

Not sure if it states it anywhere but empowered bosses have x2 drop rates. So you'll be twice as likely to get the books.

I started pretty much at the start (lost all the kit now due to rebirth), but in the first week or so gal necks added speed not DC, so was quite easy to +5/6 on the neck

3rd run for me, 1st run before Rebirth i had it about 5 times. Not had one drop since
Lvl 37 now.Game seems to not load in my chars, Site loads with blocky looking npcs but nothing else happens now. Options, or any tab no longer work. No option to input my code again. Do I have to clear cookies for the site to get it working again?
Edit: Fixed it
used inspect on browser to delete local storage data and refreshed then applied my code
Edit2: It broke again once I closed the tab and reloaded the game

Do i have to save every time i am going to log off? i played for many hours this morning logged back on and it is asking me to import my save file again on the site that is not the demo.

It might be because you keep loading up the "https://www.lom2idle.com/?from=demo" with the "/?from=demo" in the URL. This triggers the import save popup.
Try make sure you're only opening it from the base URL https://www.lom2idle.com/

UPDATE:
Added a new rebirth upgrade "Empowered Crafting". Allows you to salvage and re-roll and even add empowerments to already empowered items. You're going to want to unlock this on your next rebirth to get the most out of empowere items.
Also added OKS empowerment and made Empowererd items easier to see in your inventory.

Nice one mate thank you! It's a love to hate right now with the RNG, I got my TDB first time last game, this game I'm lvl 38 with 50 souls with no TDB from about 15 ZTs 
Oh sorry mate in case you didn't know, the impact drugs still aren't working :/ clicked it in MTK the message says drug used but no stat buff or timer
