    yeah ive used sprites like this in building my own rpg using windows api bltbit the only difference is vb requires you to make a negitive of each frame so it can then be buffered into the background they call it a mask

    K that worked great but now im running into another problem i used the shell command to excute my exes and now every time a server exe launches it says it cant find the script directorys Does the shell command open exe in a temp directory?

    Check your hardware also could be loose ram also causes a black screen if you have no memory you have no screen and check your little battery on the mother board C-Mos battery if not set right it cant load your bio ect Make sure all cards are snug in there slots all cause black screens
