I've been playing since the start ;) - I genuinely don't remember any bad cases of spam, the odd re-sale shout but who cares? An active global is synonymous with a highly populated server...which we all want :)
It was only like 15 seconds on Ignis.... 1 minute is too long, ruins any hope for global banter/discussions.

Was one of the reasons I asked on a previous thread if there was a set level during this pre-launch phase so players could actually pvp/mess about but I suppose it's to create hype and prevent influx live launch issues.
Ideally you should have just played the beta for a few days to grasp basic mechanics or observe different class/higher level players to see which may suit you.
If there is no risk associated with dying then people play more carefree without concentrating/semi afk.... aka lazy play.

I thought about doing the same thing, particularly as it appears that Chalace tries to come across as superior with long-winded and elaborate sentences, and yet, her posts are full of mistakes.
Death should always be punishable, and not just minor exp loss or the inconvenience of having to run back.
No item/body drops encourages lazy/afk play and negates any kind of 'skill' gap between players.
