    The original headers are 16 Bytes in length. What are the new headers? I'm sure they will be very similar - and the server will be sure to decide on which header to use based on this size difference. On a side note: nice to have some talent on these forums :P

    I think, buying sources you barely know how to use is pointless... Its worth? several thousands of pounds - not on the black market though :) But as far as development of mir goes, it would improve it drastically no doubt..

    I've never had any problems with the program. that error looks a bit mysterious, if it helps I'm running it on XP. I'd recommend using a different internet solution if you continue to get that problem.

    Not just Open-Source, there were a few bugs in the 1.4 client and server, however they were well covered up :) Not well enough covered for experienced ppl to not notice, which is why there were so many cheats back then, and still are a few.

    You haven't got a client file setup in !Setup.txt, I'd also check the IP's in there as well just incase.

    The encryption routines in IDA are @: 0048D2B0 - Encode6BitBuf 0048D380 - Decode6BitBuf Mir3.exe - 846KB - 15/08/2006 Or try searching "sub al, 3Ch" should find it in any exe.

    Do the headers use different encoding, has anyone looked through the ASM to confirm this? Or perhaps there are new headers for certain commands to minimize packet size.
