Has anyone ever managed to do this? Create a complete new boss?
I think that servers atm are pretty competetive, and while some people are real team players others aren't that much. Would be really cool if everyone worked together to create a new super-uber boss that was totally new? Like we were actually ahead of even Korean Mir?
Does anyone have that kind of graphic design skill?
Anyway - questions about boss. How advanced is Mob magic on the best servers? Can you set any spells for a boss that you like?
How about if someone had the skill: TwinGhoul or KingGhoul - basically take two half ghouls, stick them together to get a siamese look and change the colour a bit.
I'll do my bit by thinking about how to make this a uniquely challenging boss:
- The TwinGhoul is two bosses in one. We can't really represent this (having each side attack differently) - but we can forge it in a way. The main boss we actually see is the right side - it does quite a lot of physical attacks and some nukes, quite like OmaKing. Has really powerful full halfmoon if possible (so you avoid getting RIGHT next to it). Because there's two halves it's twice as likely to keep on going - so it has 60% magic and 40% physical resistance. (The difference is because it's a lot harder to hit with a sword as it is.) It also has 50% poisonresistance. (For para etc.)
- The "Left Side" is represented by an invisible mob that spawns in the same room (although we don't know this) and does an EC style poison attack.
- When the boss is killed, a clearmonmap trigger is done (MapQuest) - (thus despawning the other half that we don't see, the one that's doing the EC nukes), and a message comes up saying either:
- "The TwinGhoul's left side bellows, collapses forwards, and goes limp. The remaining head lets out a furious cry, and enrages!" - This results in RightSide respawning, like TwinGhoul but a lot less hp, only 30% and 20% avoidances, slightly weaker hits, but faster both in hits and runspeed.
OR
- "The TwinGhoul's right side spasms before going limp. The remaining head lets out a sorrowful cry." - Again, less physical resistance but keeps its magic resistance high (or it has no chance!). This one's like the hidden leftside (EC attack) that was nuking during the main fight - but we can see it now. (And kill it.) It hits a little harder this time.
It's the LeftSide or RightSide that have the dropfiles. The original TwinGhoul is the hardest bit by far, and after that effectively half its attack's gone. It's just a question of enough people being alive to finish it off.
The LeftSide drops more magical items, the RightSide drops more swords etc.
It's a really hard boss because it's twice the attacks, twice as versatile... Not a guaranteed win like most bosses - the essential tao healing to take on the main thing (RightSide) is threatened by the LeftSide's hidden nuking, so taos will have to worry about keeping themselves alive as well - not to mention dodging the major boss. Warriors are under fire a lot more and death can be a lot more sudden if the main thing turns on you at same time leftside nukes.
...Should make for an interesting, tactical, challenging and heart-pounding fight. It wud hardly ever be a safe win, even with masses of people. - And you would need a large force, even with really decent stats.
Can also imagine furiously hoping that RightSide dies if you've lost a lot of taos or hoping that LeftSide dies if you've still got loads of wizzies. Fights def. be more interesting.
Wot ppl think? Something like this be possible?
