I know the other thread was locked and I in no way mean to undermind you sam but one of the analogies used was that simply holding the tdb button down requires no skill hence the player should suffer the over use of mp.

Then I thought about it why not make all skills like this such as frost crunch , SFB etc.. if you hold the key down you continue to drain your mp since by this analogy it takes no skill hence the player should suffer?

A re-use timer should be more than sufficient in my opinion no need to over tax the mp of a war

Re: TDB vs. Frost Crunch (example)

my biggest issue with it currently is that when you get into the swing with timing it you still loss mana when a random slaying happens, even tho sam said TDB should override slaying, its the only skill in game that charges mana but gives you nothing in return for it.

This is due to TDB being a "two-part" skill. 1st being the inward charge of power, the 2nd being the powerful burst of energy when it is used. So if you do the inward charge of power 3 times before you release the energy you should be charged all 3 inward casts worth.

I think having this "punishment" added to wizzies and taoists is a poor idea. Not just for the issues in PVP (insta-run being first to come to mind) but a few other things... If (as you say) mp is drained while the button is held skills would be a nightmare to level. For the tiny advantage warriors may feel they would gain from this wizzies and taos lose out too much. Also wizzies skills are all very expensive to cast.

TDB is a beast skill and so far tears are being cried no matter what happens with it.

Re: TDB vs. Frost Crunch (example)

I asked before learning slaying if it did still over ride to which i was told no slaying will not over ride it.

i think they should remove my skill for the bum steer that could have been avoided

Yep that's my only real beef with this change a skill should not continue to drain power if held, and in regard to those suggestions for other classes it was simply sarcasm to point out how absurd this really is and how no one else would accept it for any other skill.

hard to get your point across when the thread gets closed. "thats the way it is, so **** off" is basically what was said lol. its just a fun sapper, every other class can spam any skill they want, and it doesnt use mp eg. Tbolt - you dont use 3 times the mp if you hold button while killing a boss.

every optimisation on this server has been for pvp. this is the first one i have seen that has no affect what so ever on pvp and it just halves the fun.

i dont understand how this makes assasins obsolete either, the way its sounds is - assasins have TDB that doesnt use MP on charge.

Completely different non comparable skills... I am sick to death of hearing about tdb, that skill has been changed more times than any other piece of code since this server went live... It's not changing again.
