right, i started off my journey playing Black And White 1, few years ago, and i loved it
and this week i bought Black And White 2, just like to inform you all, it was a VERY wise purchase, the game is friggin awesome, cant keep my hands off it, its even deterred me from WoW (momentarily)
The new wars, sieges, and toolbar features give the gameplay much more depth, and put it this way im glad i got decent RAM and GFX card, as the stock retail version of it is quite demanding of your rig.
MAJOR problem i encountered with retail version, gameplay was sluggy, had to lower options so the hand icon wud interact with throwing and grabbing smoothly, but Lionhead Studios have released patch v1.1 which smooths everything out, and has made my journey through B&W2 much MUCH more enjoyable, check out
http://www.lionhead.com/bw2/ for more info and some nice screenshots
hope this came helpful to anyone who was considering getting this monster of a game, personally i love it, gameplay is awesome, graphics have been MASSIVELY improved from ti predecessor and overall has got a much more free, flowing feel to it
so apart from the problem with sluginess with the retail version, causing me to have to patch it up, i will have to give Black And White 2 - 9/10
great job LionHead Studios
