cant connect to sql

rebooted my pc and now the service manager will not start, iv tried many things but cannot get it to start. if i were to reinstall will i loose all the the items iv added etc.

Thats what happened to me yesterday. I had to just uninstall then re-install and i lost 10 days worth of work.

yes you will loose everything if you dont backit up. i started on my server and had problem on the same day i installed it, and im a very fast worker at adding stuff in the db as its easy as piss.

just back up the db to somewhere other than prog files/mssql ect,, then restore it when you have re-installed mssql,,
just curious,, did either of you have the evaluation version (180 days)?

Possibly as i think JayZ hosted on this dedi for a while, not sure if it was quite 180 days like.
