change npcs text

how on earth do i change wot npcs say i changed the writing for them in the envir folder (i think thats wot its called) i changed tele mans words tried it in game and nowt lil help plz

go in envir.market_def and there u got all npcs as .txt files
u write what u want em to say in there.
to find out witch npc is witch u look in envir Market_def.txt u`ll be able to find out the rest.
