So i've seen Milo's video on youtube with the first look archer video from shanda, just wondering if the gm's or anyone else know what skills the archer is using that seem to change its appreance? and is there any plan to implement these skills? or maybe even implement the look the skills give as an armour (not sure if its possible?)
The video i'm referring to is here the archer uses the skill at 0:52 seconds and then uses another skill that changes its appearance to something almost identical to the other one but white and blue instead of red and black?

Also have the GM's considered giving archers a poison arrow? in any film/game/tv show with any kind of archery archers always shoot poisoned arrows, i understand it may be a bit op mir but maybe if you had two seperate skills (one for red and one for green) set at say lvl 48-50 it would give archers something to aim for as currently there is a lack of high level spells for us to work towards its pretty null and void leveling an archer after you get level 3 AB at level 46.
Then along with these there is also the ones that have been mentioned like switching power shot to a reverse shoulder dash for escape situations but only make it so you can push your self back and not push mobs or players, it was also suggested making it so there is no cool down on decoy till after you switch places with it which i think again would make a world of dfference.
Archer buffs should be instantly re-castable once they have worn off, if your killing something like warlord/colossus/em your dps is massively affected by having to wait for your buffs to cool down you already lose out on dps having to stop to cast them in the first place.
Arrow barrage and static shot should be returned to how they were previously, static is useless as a flinching skill as it just bounces of running targets and doesn't cause any damage or a flinch it was like this before flinch was ruined in the attempted fix, then with AB in order to do damage i need to be next to someone which is fine vs' taos and most sins but a decent high level warrior or a high mc wizz its 1 or 2 hits from them and im dead, i dont see any reason why with the current flow of items in the game and the ammount of people that spec MR and HP that AB shouldn't be returned to what you originally intended it to be like.
It has been suggested we get a weak magic shield and while that is a good option i think that there are other ways to fix this, what about giving us another buff (yes it lowers dps buffng up but if the buff will save your life i dont think many archers will mind) make the buff last 20 seconds at lvl 1 and give a cchance to reduce 30% incoming damage then 30 seconds and 40% and then 40 seconds and 50% (these are just a rough idea and would obviously need testing in order to find a balance)
I don't think necessarily adding new super rare spells is the answer as the whole class are feeling these issues but just altering the current spells that we already have to make them more useful would be a massive improvement to the class as a whole, yes new spells are fun and i can't wait to see what you have in store for us new spells wise but fix what you already have before you go on and add more potential bugs to the class.
I'd like to think i've made a sensible post and for this not to incite a flame war but rather spark a decent discussion on what we can do to bring the class back into line with the rest of them, but i understand haters gunna hate :cool-new::cool-new::cool-new:
