You need to know what type of G/Card you have first and if it has a tv out put on it or not.

Depending on card, it could be any of these.

DVI
HDMI
VGA
S-Video

DVI & HDMI only work on tv's that are LCD or Plasma, as the bog standard tv is scart.

A standard tv can use the DVI, but would need a DVI - Scart connection.

S-Video also requires a input - scart connection

VGA out on PC to VGA in on TV

Its really not that hard

All PCs have a VGA out (its what the monitor plugs into) and most (if not all) new TVs have a VGA in on the back

Boot PC
Change source on TV to PC
Done

Tell her to put the blue cable from the back of her moniter into the same blue thing on the back of her TV and change the source to the PC channel

MILO has a PC connected to my 40inch this way
TV is really just a big moniter anyway

All PC's can output to TV's.

If the TV has a HD port:
VGA -> HD adaptor with a HD lead

If the TV has a DVI port:
VGA -> DVI adaptor with a DVI lead

You get the point, all you need to work out is what source in ports are avliable on the tv by looking behind it. Alot of more recent tv's even have a VGA port as standard so you may not even need an adaptor.
