eroor with m2server

hey i need help im setting up a server for my mate on his p.c its all going fine antill we try and open m2server it comes up with an error saying:

Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network adresse/port) is normally permited windows socket (10048), on ABI 'bind'


please some one help and reply fast as im not goign to be round his house for long

the problem you have is that you either have the wrong IP addresses in the wrong places... or some IP's are missing.... or your ports are blocked up.... or you have a firewall blocking ports..... or anything along those lines

Try running the system information and checking that there are no conflicts especially with the network card, and that no other hardware or software has the ports or addresses open that mir2 uses. The ways it looks from what you pasted, looks like a resource conflict.

yes ive got this to work now..the only problem i now have is getting onto the character select screen....

what is happening is i login...choose my server then where it would normally go onto the character select screen; the screen just goes black and the background music just carries on playing...

please help..
