Righty, when im pottering around on my own server doing a few things and such i notice that my character and everyone elses for that matter pauses and is unable to do anything, this continues for varied lengths of time, i've been told serveral times that its because my PC cannot handle it, which is an insult to say the least i've run it on 2 Machines one of which is:- and Athlon 64 3500 with 1GB Corsiar XMS 3500, and the other is an Athlon XP Barton 3200 clocked at 2.6G with 1GB Corsair XMS 3500, which is pretty obvious neither of them are in anyway underpowered.

I'm not 100% sure of how current my m2server.exe is whether or not thats anything to do with it?

DO you mean characters stick like you try to move and when you step it just jumps you back into the same place for a certain amount of time and then you wait then you can walk?

or do you just pause and cannot move at all?

cos i dont quite get what your saying sorry

I'm using the GameGate, and Generally the whole thing runs like ****e, and totally freezes, i dont get that stickyfeet bug thing, its just a total freeze. But it ran like ****e before i used the new rungate. Tried several clients all as bad as each other.

I've gone through and made sure theres nothing that could cause it to run like to does such as dodgy npcs, over the top spawns, even when the servers Totally clean of all mobs and NPC's it still likes to run like poop.

same as me bb .
if u have another pc or RJ45 socket on the pc with the wireless card try using a cable just to see
I been blaiming bt for my lagg on euro mir, it wasnt bt or mir but my wireless.I think mabey not being close enough or walls in way causing a few signal probs sometimes.
Well worth a try if u can anyway.Worked for me. :)

But the lagg i got was like this.I would play fine for say 5- 10 mins then suddenly freeze for 10 - 15 secs then back again ok.sometimes if i go in shop and dont move at all and leave for a bit it will lagg out totally.
pluging my desktop pc via the rj45 cable was sweeeet no lagg nothing.
now im bt2.2mb no lagg wat so ever.but if i go onto my laptop and wireless network card i go back to same ol lagg .

hope this helps bb

4got to add that my son plays warcraft3 and he gets same prob on his desktop pc via another different wireless card.so yes its a wireless thing.

How far from ya router are u on the client?
and obstructions?

err yes it is my network cards connention ...thats what i typed lol.but sometimes i use my firewire 400mbps cards to connect but thats beside the point.I dont know why u even posted that.
>.<

and wireless works sweeeet not always lagg just gotta make sure conditions are right.Like it says in the booklets, manuals ect ect .walls and things in the way make the wireless card work harder as well as distance also add's to the issue of lagg cas it.
Now my router is in the attic at top of house while im sat in my frount room with my laptop,Buttttt if i go up to attic with my laptop or even just upstairs in the hallway, the lagg clears and no 10-15 sec laggs.so now i use my laptop only for priv servers and euro account that i care for i only connect via direct connection.

The router is Wireless but im Wired to the Router, and the only thing that uses the wireless is the Laptop, im on 2mb Cable, so its not a connection problem.

I figured it might be a client problem so i used the Ledu client and its just as bad, i've had feedback from players reporting the same problem... not Exactly sure still where the problem lies because even on a clean server it runs like crap.
