help i cant get onto my own server rofl

ok heres a strange problem.

i just put up a server for m8es to play on, all of them sucessfuly gettin on. when i try i get as far as selecting the server but the gates dont open (indercating i got the server name wrong)

everything is configed right (router, client and server side) but the problem percists

can some 1 help me plz this is funny and anoying lol

ok as you suggested server name wrong. go check spelling and make sure no spaces. check all files where it says server name. same thing happened to me once lol i left a space before server name. i was adamant i had everything correct as well. but if others are geting on i doubt an ip incorrect lol

just checked and its all right. even used copy+paste to make sure i didnt change it i just dont know lol

any 1 got any ideas?

Was you able to get on the server when it was offline? Might be something to do with lag (If ur on a slow pc), if you checked all the IP's and names, i dunno what else it could b..... Make sure ur using the right Mir.exe, can't think of nething else.

yeah i checked. i tryed hosting off 1 and playing off another. even took all spawns out lol this is baaaaad :S

u sure tht ur router isn't blocking u out in ne way?
I dunno much about routers, although u might have it set, so 2 types of info can't go through on the same ip.... (Svr And Playa)

set static routing so ne inbound connections divert to my pc. disabled firewall in router and on pc. other peeps can get on but i cant rofl

just tryed again 2 times. offline=fine, lan with 2players at once= fine, on the internet where others can get on but i cant = major problem

i cant moderate my own server lmfao

can you make account if yes then its an IP you got wrong somewhere. you use 127.0.0.1 for playing on the lan. but you change this for your NET IP but make sure you follow guide as to where to change them. apart from that this is a good one lol. ive tried to simulate on test server and the only ways ive found gates dont open is wrong ip or something spelled wrong.

Obvious he can make a account he sed get onto gates tbh Download server starter off www.fernys.co.uk and make sure u followed the guide all right and if u get error with server starter MSWINOXC.OXC or summon search the error on google and put it in C:/windows/system32 should work tbh lol hope it does ^_^

copy the entire mir folder off a comp on which it works to the 1 on which it doesnt and make sure mir.exe size is same (it does have the tendency to change it's size randomly afair)
if that doesn't work it must be your router or that ip is banned from the server (forgot how to check that its been 2 years since i made a server >_>)

copy entire mir folder from a working one then... and make sure mir.exe is the EXACT same size not even 1byte less or more. and tbh i dunno **** abt routers just that they can prevent u from playing :P
