this isn't server help so uh, i put it here, it's help connecting to a server

i get this error, does anyone understand it?

click on technical information. if it says the problem was appcombat.txt then it means it keeps crashing, most likely your system isnt liking the exe.

where did u download that exe?

yes, it is a problem with the e94_appcombat.txt

i've had the same .exe working on this pc before, i went on TDR before it was officially up

if ur on xp change its run properties to windows 98 or sumthing (in properties), it prolly wont do much but its worth a try.

the thing i dont understand is, i've done no major updates to my pc since the last time it worked, but does any body know of a way to downgrade from windows xp series 2 back to standard winxp without a reformat?

just goto add/remove programs and uninstall service pack 2.

by the way farril, appcombat is the name of the file that is sent with error reports, all error reports use them

FYI there is LOADS of mir3.exe - there is 1001 reasons why it crashes, drivers spring to mind for your video card, lack of Codec -- man the list goes on. Dont even get me started on the chinese FFS..

well, i just played about with my video drivers, i dont think that's a problem, and with mir being a game not a video or an audio file i didn't think special codecs were necassary, what codec is needed?

Intel codec for the first screen but i dont think that would crash it tbh. What gfx card and ver of driver you got, I know when i put latest driver on for Nvidia it crashes back to desktop almost straight away like

thanks for the help chaps, it showed my persistance paid off :P

it was a problem with the graphics card drivers, i had beta ones, i updated to the new ones, they still didn't work, but these old ones work fine

Yer that stupid Mir3 programming tbh is pretty crap, I know people on Euromir3 are pretty annoyed as they need the latest to play the latest games (C:S) but older ones for Mir3...not suprising mir3 is loosing ground compared to the latest MMORPG's out there tbh
