How easily could this be implemented, if at all?

Anything that encourages player interaction as well as adding more goals/incentives to play can only make the server better and last longer and IMO a honor point system would do both.

The first thing I thought when I saw the BlueAncientWolf was that it should be purchasable by honor points, having played so many different MMOs over the past few years that pretty much offer the same. So the high level mounts are an obvious choice for me to add to a honor point vendor. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, other than maybe the lowest purchasable reward could be a sunpot bundle.

There's a difference between PKing and PvP so if this was to be implemented I think it should only be limited to guild wars and sabuk wars. You'd also have to make sure it could not be abused by farming low levels so a level restriction and maybe a "honor-less target" buff could be applied for 60secs after being killed in PvP.

On the subject of guild wars the cost of declaring war on Acem2 was way too low. I think guild wars should be encouraged but there also needs to be a stronger cost/punishment for declaring war.

Agree on some points and really like the idea.

You can add visuals and small items to the honour shop.
Maybe some buff liquors etc.

but focusing gain only on guildwars is wrong. What i'd like to see is that if you kill someone brown whilst not being brown or red yourself you'll gain honour.Killing red players also gains you honour.
Killing in guildwars also gains you honour.
Also to prevent honour farming should dieing lose you 1 honour.

this stops the incentive to pk noobs unless they attack first.
And does not force people to always war enemies to farm honour points.

if this could also be specified it'd be a nice feature

Problem with this is, if it's limited to guild wars / sabuk wars - the bigger the guild the better your chances of winning so it encourages mass recruitment, which is not what I would want, as that just ruins a server.

Unless of course you add a guild cap, or allow this "honour" system to allow you to purchase more guild slots, then sure.

Needs to be carefully looked at if implemented, but could work.

Too complicated for me, change doesn't really suit me :x
That explains why you couldn't heal on a Tao :p

It shouldn't encourage mass recruitment as it works both ways, a big guild has more targets to farm honor from and more people to share the honor amongst.

The reason I suggested limiting it to only wars is that killing a single brown person that's your friend in your guild/group is a much easier way to abuse and get free honor.

I did start adding an honour system way back when but needs a bit of coding to be exactly how i wanted I think. I would like it to work in cetrain ways and tie in to all kinds of pvp/pk to use as a ranking system for it.

Currently if you type @honour , it tries to display your points but just comes up with "Honour points: ????" because its just not finished :p

damn you beat me to it!

add a guild war map/arena to fight and earn honour other then sabuk wars! sure i remember sam mention he was planning on adding more pvp modes like capture the flag, good way to add it and a good reason to take part!

could also be ran by a GM, 10v10 fights to stop outnumbering being a problem

could lead to friendly guild V guild fights! and leave the normal wars as they should, killing the other guild and them dropping items should be enough reward, cant earn honour being an "item thieving mother ****er!" when you dont return the drops :P

not sure if any1 remembers mircraft (i think it was mircraft?) towards the end of euro Mir3.....like a sort of battleground type event with 2 teams...you would collect resources to build things....the winning team won DragonGateSword pieces.
Could something like this be implemented?

i think some sort of guild "level up" system would be cool

Mir need something like this, as its a community game and mass recruitment/guild hopping just ruins all that. if people had to work together to make the guild better, they'd be less inclined to hop to the next "big thing".

E.g lvl1 = 5members
lvl 2 = 7members

and so on...guild exp would be gained from hunting together blah blah blah, or players cud swap their exp for guild exp!. (which would also stop some people from out-leveling the content too soon.)

it probarly wouldnt be that hard to implement either...
