and are available for an experiment sometime at the begning of May next year?

The reason im asking, is because I have a plan. A plan to screw over Britain's roads (Mainly England) and i need to form an army of cars to do so.

The thing im basing this theory on is something i like to call a "phantom traffic jam." A phantom traffic jam can quickly and easily be created by having a line of cars (one in each lane of a motorway) breaking fairly quickly simultaneously, and thus causing other cars behind to do the same. What actually happens is a bit like a Mexican wave effect, but imagine instead of people standing up, cars are stopping. As long as cars are being forced to slow down the effect can continue for ages, and in places with heavy traffic the effect can bring a single area of road to a standstill, as long as cars join the back of the "queue" faster or at an equal rate to the ones infront leaving.

What i would like to do, is use this tecnique to cripple the main junctions of major carriageways, and motorways, and see just how much of Britains infrastructure can be taken out by a handfull of cars. By handfull I obviously mean a lot, and I doubt this could ever go ahead, and even if it could, i doubt the legality of the actual thing anyway.

But it would be awesome if you could use 60 odd cars, and bring a portion of the country to an entire standstill for no reason.

and then some chav with road rage comes and caves your head in with a baseball bat !!

this plan seems pretty foolish next you will be asking for people to blow up some trains.... oh wait that already happened

I recon you'd have to wait an extra year if you want the main population of the forum to help out.

From what I can tell most people here are 16.

I'll start learning to drive in December.

I have my own car, passed theory... stupid DVLA ****s failed me twice though, just because my car is green.

I'm 18 next week, I probably won't pass until I'm 24.

You have to be over 17 to take the real test.

You could take it the day you turned 17 if you wanted.

Yeah your provisional can take a month or so to get there, takes a bit longer before summer because loads of people apply around that time. As for taking your test on your 17th birthday, you could in theory, but not in practice, as you have to pass your Theory test before you can book your actual driving test.

Take your theory test, you get the certificate on the day. Then use the certificate number and your details to book your practical test. The second you pass the test and get the peice of paper, you can drive as a full driver. You dont need to wait for your full liscence to arrive. If you do get pulled over you an either explain you just passed and your waiting to get your liscence back (they can run a check, or tell you to bring them in as soon as they arrive)

For the first 2 years you have a maximum of 6 penalty points, after that you get 12.

Yes of course, because that will happen. Infact the opportunity is endless, as you break to a slow speed, then drive off. The Chav of course will have plenty of time to get his baseball bat out, get out of his car, chase down my car at 70MPH, stop my car, get me out, and then start hitting me.

its not a SLAM YOUR BRAKES ON deal, its more of a drop your speed from 70 - 30 deal, the point is to create a queue of traffic. if its that hard to comprehend, then pretend there are traffic light on the motorway, and somebody slows to stop, but they turn green before he gets there. it doesn't end in "cars rolling" everytime someone brakes at traffic lights.

You need to be 17 for the provisional to be valid yes.

You can apply about a monthish before your 17th birthday, but cannot use it to drive untill you are 17.

You can pass fully at 17.

Yes for a ped.

Peds require you to be 16.

Cars require you to be 17.
