I Need Your Help Fighting Cheats

I have spoken with EvilEvil and he has allowed me to make this post

I am planning on writing a program that will hopefully stop cheating
It’s a program that will be required to run client side, and some special configuration of the server (without it you wont are able to play servers that are going to run it)

It’s going to be open to any servers that want it.
Any players caught cheating will be "black listed" - there IP & account name will be added to a central list; this list will be accessible to any server owner.

What I need from you guys & gals - as many cheats as possible
Once I have a working prototype I will add any cheats to a central list

So any cheats you have if you could send to me

i dident make the origional react . that was a GM from euromir

mine was jsut my version of this

^_^ yeah but it dident stop .. it just scanned the logs for the old cheats
the new cheats dont leave there mark in the logs

this 1 will activly stop cheats

i havent heard of ne real cheats except for the revelation hack etc, and whats the diff between te mir lander demo and retail?, oh btw if you gonna make an anti-cheat system, make sure it can read mutated strings as its a very effective way to hide memory edits etc and is commonly used in the nastier of viruses.

demo gives u a preview of the cheat, like anti-para and all light and instant run, full retail can auto-lvl, auto-mine, ect ect

End of the day, you are releasing this software and cheats can get hold of it to counter it. Most times cheats will win....its al osing battle in my opinion.

there are probably 4-8 ppl on this forum that have the knowlage to make cheets
id say none of them would want to - and if they do then can be stoped & the ppl using them banned from all servers (who use anti cheats)

only ones i got to worry about are chineese ppl and seen as most of them are out and working they shouldent need to make new ones

no need for people here to make them when they are being made elsewhere, your software will be gotten hold of by the chinese, and as people have chinese contacts/visit chinese forums, its pretty bleak. :ball:

lol i doubt the chinese will care if a few servers that are inferior to theirs (and in another language!!!) will have some ainti cheat protection. ALL chineese servers have the cheats built in - cheating is how mir is played over there; why would they want / need anti cheat software?

Is giving IP's to server owners a good idea, i know cheaters deserve it but you could come across problems if you get anybody coming along saying they are a server owner when thye are not and aqquire peoples IP's.

Just a thought but other than that its a great idea, oh and if there was something client side is there not the problem of people editing that.

Personally I dont agree with the giving ip's out for the simple reason that someone may cheat on one server because they dont take it seriously and want to mess around, Yet on another server they DO take it seriously, play right and dont cheat.

A banning on all servers for cheating on one is a little drastic.

Oh and to save people asking. Yes I am looking at it from my own point of view as I have cheated on some servers, Yet play other one's seriously.
