Installign help

Ok i am posting on behalf of a M8 called Danny.

When he tries to install EI he gets 3/4 of the way through. It says sumit like :-


Mir3_20030515.exe has encoutered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconveinience.

If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on may be lost.

He is using Windows XP.

try to extract all with winrar (right click the file and extract to...)to a folder then run the exe
if thats any help

try uninstalling windows xp and disgarding it and installing windows 2000

thats a long way about it >< what if he dont have 2000
i use xp with no probs at all
the problem is in something else dont waste time uninstalling xp

try uninstalling sql and making a database over again. also i have xp and the setup file in the server files help me out ALOT more than any help on forums. its just straight and to the point also when setting up the dbserver.exe there is a readme in the server files which explain it.

in short reinstall server files and start over or keep any edited DB u have if u do
