Since PKing is kind of dead on this server, how about a new mode.

When you sign up it's for 1 week, irl time, with no option to remove, for all your characters. You go red, body and bag drops are enabled, and basically free to kill for anyone else ingame. Your name is also hidden (the --------- thing from events), to avoid abuse being thrown around.

Agreeing gives you access to a new town, which non pkers can't enter, with all the normal shops at a slight discount, and teleports to various zones (with it giving you a specific tele to return). Plus a very nice buff, I'm thinking 50+% (maybe 100?) to exp/drop/gold. Pking a player that is up to 3 levels lower, and any higher, up to once per day (so it's not abused), will give gold/exp if possible. Players less than 4 you will do reduced damage to/take less damage from, about 10% per level outside range (since ganking low levels is bad, m'kay).

You no longer show up as a white dot on map, and ideally your torch doesn't show to other players (so you can sneak up on them). Tele/rts should work on sub floors again so people can escape each other without having to TT.


This should be interesting for both sides. It doesn't really favour the pkers, they get great benefits, but there will be massive risk from body drops. I'm sure everyone who has been red knows how much you lose haha. So this wouldn't be something people take lightly. But it will be something fun and interesting to many, and the level restriction should mean it's not abused to kill low levels.

I get where you were going with this one holo, I think a PK mode would be cool but everything in the last post was way beyond balance.

I think a murder mode could work whereby you get 50% gold, exp and drop but in return can drop from body and bag. This then gives a risk and reward, and makes killing someone worth it. However, the only downside to this is that most people wouldn't die bcoz they could drop and would simply tt away.

Have you seen the bag/body drops from being red? They're insane. 50% bonus is nothing compare to that loss when you do die. They are completely brutal frankly.

I get your point about TTs, that's why I added the bit about the reds actually benefiting from attacking/killing people. Once you've engaged, they start using pots, and they can't TT once they've potted for 2 seconds. Maybe not many would die, but the point is to add in some excitement between the endless grinding of mobs. I remember being low level on mir 2 and being attacked by reds in BW mine, it was exhilarating tbh, but you'd never get that on private servers because there's no real benefit for going red.

I normally PK on most servers in crap gear, just gank people with mates. No risk at all to me.
