My first day on LIVE

Thought I’d shed a little light on my first day on Live...

I was involved in Beta so I knew the early quest line and where to go so it’s been a speedy one to say the least. Ive been on holiday so missed the launch. But I’ve kept up to date with progress.

Ive noticed a lot of good feedback coming back ...”Server is brilliant! Well thought out! The smoothness makes me not want to go back to other slower servers now I’ve been here!” (This I knew anyway from beta and it’s good to see ppl agree).

Also there’s been a fair few early crashes which resulted in ppl getting mini rewinds and losing there QOL pet. All il say is that’s unfortunate and I’m sure like most other servers the crashes do get sorted out like they always do and they become a thing of the past.

The usercount being top of the server list tells me that most ppl agree once the teething problems are out the way Valkyrie is going to be the server to be.

I’ve managed to hit LvL 40 in my first day and I’ve enjoyed it even more than I did Beta as the faces I’m seeing everywhere make it even better. I’m really looking forward to the mid-high end content and the PvP fights. It’s gonna be fun fun.

Feel free to PM me ingame if your thinking of starting and need some advice early on...I know lvl 0-50 content quite well.

Better than expected launch imo and compensation has been more than generous. I've also been completely solo and hit 53 effortlessly in 2 1/2 days worth of play time, looking forward to the future.

My only real complaint is that the Clarity buff from Tao should be turned into a toggle for QOL, this could then free up a Tao's skillslot if you turn the toggle on then swap the skill for another (drain mp from toggle on, then drains mana every 1/2/3 min depending on lvl + automatically hits all party members in xp range).

Generally speaking I just want to say thank you. It's rare that people give good feedback and very common for people to give negative feedback. (Nothing todo with development team or anyhting!) I'm a non-beta player and enjoying this server very much 1 week in.

Yes, the server reboots and downtimes have been an issue. Could they have been handled better? Maybe. People are always going to have opinions,especially when fuelled by a mixture of mir excitement and greed. But all in all, it's a good server with alot of promise

New servers still need some live testing, get over it people!

Very much enjoying the server myself, as a casual player it's nice to see good items can come from normal monsters and subs and that the game isn't just for the large guilds who camp every boss

Exactly this ^^ it’s been well thought out for casuals aswell, had someone discord me earlier saying there enjoying just taking there time through the quest line it all feels brand new.

Agreed also on the items and gold drops, from literally any normal mob. Reminds me of the good old days going on hunt and eyes lighting up when u see PLOP! Nice ... 10k hehe.

Agree. Enjoying the server alot so far. It feels very fresh, the questline is unseen before in mir imo, never been worth it before but its getting people exploring all the content as the exp alone from quests is decent. The drop rate is great, everyone has a chance of something, books weps, kit... almost feels like its designed to drop you what you need within few levels (atleast for me anyway maybe just luck). Most people are friendly enough in these early stages. Levelling with quests doesn't feel like too much of a chore, very good for casual players with drops and levelling. Hit 38 with just a couple hours a few evenings a week, just casually exploring/levelling.

The crashes the other night were unfortunate, especially for any casual like me who actually had a few hours :P ha happens though. I think the GMs were a tad generous with the free exp/pets - you'll all say dont complain but im thinking wider spectrum, the levelling is relatively easy enough in the early stages, but you dont want people flying off too much for those who have yet to experience Valk server. Either way just hope GMs aren't over-generous in any future hiccups as we all suffer the downtime, no-ones gaining

Other than that, providing the team dont listen to the usual biased muppets on discord too much and go changing things on a whim, we should be in for a great server.

Maybe add 15 to that list, advertised on a ******** group and only just checked my messenger and there’s loads of ppl interested in starting. Gonna PM them back today.

I’m absolutely loving the server at the moment. I haven’t played Mir in a good 2-3 years. I’ve been looking for a server with a decent enough user count to justify me spending time in the game and this server is delivering just that! I’ve been playing for roughly a day now and not once have I been bored, there’s always something to do and the majority of the people have been decent and offered assistance so thanks for that guys. Keep up the good work GM!
