In answer to the thread query, go to http://fireegg.com and sign up for themes' and other w810i downloads. Use the SonyEricsson Software updater from either the enclosed CDROM of download from the SE website under the support section. Follow the progrtam's instructions to install the latest firmware directly from SE. This will be unbranded however you will not be able to delete certain Orange specific features.
To unlock it properly most computer fair's or market stalls in town will have a phone unlocking service for a price.
