nprotect problem.

i havnt played mir in a while. i was just attempting to put my server back up. server seems to run fine, but when i load up mir and it starts the nprotect connecting stuff, it doesnt get past it. so doesnt load up mir.

ive accepted mir.exe in my firewall, and even shut my firewall down. any ideas as to why its not connecting?

i believe my mir3.cin is connecting to 127.0.0.1

tryed to connect to many servers i've know n on all of them i have same problem

cant past nprotect update.... it's a "server down" thingy or they just found a way to shutdown private servers?

@sandoka, they couldnt have found a way to shut down private servers, nprotect dont just work with mir i think.

I don't really know what -c and -n are...
I remember I used -c to get rid of chinese's server selection thing... I think...

guessing -n = nprotect :P

-n fk knows.

wen mine wasnt workin i decided to run the offical mir3 patcher n it had a 60 mb set of files to download

i downloaded up2 50mb then it would stop n not let me connect

tried mir n it worked o.o... booted my server up to see changes ive made actually worked n the tiles on ground were fuked so had to get all data files from other pc to replace them fuked 1s... then mir worked fine lol

Chnage your Mir3patch.ini to this:

ListFile=!plist.lst

Run pather a few times.

Now the TILES will be messed up so make sure you have a backup to Overwrite your DATA dir once patched - This will fix your Nroptect Probelm.

Alternative solution:

I have attached a Mir3.exe + mir3.ini + cmdlist.dat which does NOT use Gay Nprotect at all . I would have done a Better CMDList but Kaori site is not playing ball. It works the one supplied, not the best of my work but does the job for now..

Switched required for this version:

-U - stops Autopatcher
-C - Stops Map Screen
-M - Windowed Mode (as takes no notice of Mode.ini)

Edit::: Forget that - LOMCN is been Gay and wont let me attach that file - sucks tbh

ok thats all done and working. though i just realised as it was patching up it was overwriting my modded files lol.

now another problem.

my kingnf1.1 is coming up with a backdoor trojan. this is with norton so it must there so. cld someone upload one that doesnt have a trojan plz? lol

Well Cruel Dragon has a loverly little back door - Ill check out my files and see if they are clean

I have Ripped through my Version of King and cannot find one trace of any backdoor, it talking to any IP whatsoever and so forth - Care to tell me the file name you are running that is bringing up the Virus? And were did u get it from? (your gonna say on here aint you)

N1 Kaori works a treat . To get it working I just copied the exe then just start the exe its self dont do any shortcut commands (-c -u -n) and works fine .

edit: sorry to be picking, but how do you change the ingame font?

on the official one the font is times new roman, much smaller and tidier font.

with this one its a larger font, veranda or comic sans maybe.

any ideas?

editedit: just been on euro mir and it looks like they've changed their font to the larger type. all of their words look out of place and some word such as 'sorcerer' go off the edge.

still, any thoughts on changing the fonts?

the exe works but is as bugged (if not more buggy) as lovemir3g.exe using the new interface on JoB server.. eg korean/chinese writings, crashes on some options, no mob display (stats)..in other words unusable for the average player

i dont see how it can pick up bugs when its the official euromir exe? hes only hexed something :/.

most possibly its the underlying server engine (JoB) which isnt fully compatible to the new interface..maybe it works ok for PtW server engine without that bugs
