If anyone could possibly help me to do this I would be more than grateful! My laptop running Windows smashed the screen and it's a effort to connect up to external monitor. If anyone could advise me on running Mir through my Mac then that would be great.

Thanks in ADV

What MacBook do you have?

Have you got it set to dual boot into windows or running something like parallel? Because of the "new" mac architecture (circa 2006) you can run windows either native or emulated for a like for like experience.

If you've got a working windows disk you just need to crate a windows partition using bootcamp and its pretty simple from there. Parallels is a bit more tricky, however assuming you can download a disk image of windows it will also work.

Instead of Bootcamping it's probably easier just to install Windows in a VM and run it in the VM - your Mac should be more than powerful enough to run Mir3 comfortably in the VM.

Download VirtualBox and create a VM
Install Windows and relevant drivers in the VM
Install Mir3 in the VM and play

This way you can quickly boot the VM and play Mir without having to reboot your entire Mac into Windows, it also means you don't have to partition a section of the hard drive specifically for Windows, you can easily delete the VM at a later date with no hassle.

This is certainly the recommended route. The VM won't play it 'out of the box' there are a couple of other requirements but it definitely works.

(The requirements mentioned I will try and remember! There were a couple of windows packages required. Nothing too out of the ordinary.)

VMware Workstation worked well for me. Rather run it in a VM than native bootcamp anyway. Can always nuke a VM for space if necessary :) Repartitioning can be a pain.
