If I know the person's In-Game name I quite often mention or follow up on things.

Do you have any active GMs in game? Ones that are specifically in role as a GM and have no influence on the development choices being made. Someone to help monitor global, answer questions, assist with any in game issues that have arose, investigating players reports of exploits/botting/griefing etc?

Or are you solely responsible for the community facing side both on the forums and in game, reviewing of development choices, coding and all of the other duties required to keep the server running? If you're responsible for everything then that's the problem, you're stretching yourself too thin and getting bogged down with menial tasks that should be handled by someone else. Maybe too little too late to consider an active GM for this server, but I would implore you to take on the advice people have given and if you ever do release another server in the future consider an active GM specifically responsible for the customer facing role and in game assistance.

I am responsible for everything.

But there's literally no choice in this matter, There's no one on else.

Everyone keeps saying there are plenty of people but no one has mentioned a single name.

Person needs to be Knowledgeable with the game, (Not knowing everything but know enough).
Person needs to have significant positive reputation on LOMCN, I cannot go and get unknown/new person.
Person needs to be understanding that not everyone has the ability to speak/read and some have their chat tabs completely removed because of how toxic people can be.
Person will no longer be able to play the server, note - Shane has no Admin/GM powers only I have them.
I'm not saying the person will be doing this without anything in return, but they will never be given access to the Server, not only because of trust issues but it would take too long to educate them on how to use the server and how easy it is to accidentally edit things.

Ultimately what will a GM offer to the server other than a barrier between them and me?

Me < - > GM < - > Players.

This is wrong in more cases than it is right. Most of the posts I see from Jamie are him replying to troll posts and ignoring actual questions from people who aren't constantly bitching. Especially in the patch feedback threads. It's laughable.

said same thing during alpha, got put onto his '**** list' , if on list your just point blank ignored even if your making valid points , lots of the positive changes that were added were brought up by certain players during alpha but because these players were on the **** list they were ignored

In your latest thread you mentioned Hermit Elemental Stacking... last reboot, Hermit Elemental stacking was revised...

ppl mentioned it early January, got rebooted and changed mid February lol.

Can you not see how much disparity this has caused between your average player, and the level 60+ ?

I would suggest someone like CremeEgg then, he has a vast vast vast wealth of knowledge around the product in question. He has already got a proven track record of working with the WeMade and GSP development teams including the original dev team in Korea. He's aware of the systems and the back-end limitations when trying to implement changes.
He capable of taking constructive criticism and is one of the very few people who post here with a non-bias objective view on the future development and longevity of the server rather than just wanting tweaks and changes for personal gain.

Sometimes that's exactly what you need, you need someone reaching out to the players collecting information and producing just the facts to you and then you can use those when deciding future direction. It removes you from the intricacies of the day to day player gripes and management and lets you focus on your main strengths which are developing and coding your server.

While I appreciate the thought and its flattering feedback, I wouldn't really want to know anything that meant I could no longer play.

Happy to be a part of a focus group or spit-balling ideas around, but anything that means I have to stop playing would probably be too much for me.

I fully understand, been in this position before. Even now some people still hold grudges for things that never happened.

There's also this

Discord said:
you know about cremeegg right?

be careful, he's shady as ****
has a way of worming into things

managed to schmoozy up to peopl to get the QGO euro ignis database
set up a server, cashed in and ****ed off
was getting inside info from QGO on euro and using it to exploit

he may seem helpful and nice, but always has his own agenda

Yep this is pretty much a main thing having a GM can do for him especially as Jamie seems to get hit in the dick when anyone disagree's with him BUT i will admit that 75%+ or the Mir community who speak up are immature and like to say anything without a second of thought so I do sympathize with Jamie regardless of what concludes (the destruction of discord as an example). I know too many people who are happy to troll anyone including Jamie, why would you spam a pm of nonsense to the person that makes you dinner?
I could speak to him for ages about how I feel about certain things but I don't because I can safely assume he's getting harassed by god knows how many people, I no lifed this server for a solid month and I only kicked up one fuss in his direction when It came to that stupid tao weapon that drops in NR, otherwise i'm happy to give people the benefit of the doubt that they are indeed improving on the issues cropping up.

Doesn't need to necessarily be a GM just someone that absorbs crap and filters constructive info/opinion to Jamie. Another thing imo that needs to happen is to get on relatively the same page as the people playing the game as Jamie seems to be passionate about adding to an already solid game and boss mechanics instead of addressing what I feel are bigger issue's such as class balance, cave/dungeon balance and boss purpose/ drops vs books & lvling (books+lving win clearly why circle for bosses?).

There's also this

That is funny, I've never run a private server ever. The QGO/GR server that launched here a few years back was Chris and Dale.

As for inside info, me and BlueRose only ever knew about things that were broken, that was what we did, reported to the bug system that Wemade used to track issues.

After QGO shut down I started a job at Games-Masters with two Chris' from QGO, we published Cabal Online at the time. I did have a copy of the server files and DB's given to me at that time. They sat on a laptop I had, I never even backed them up from what I can tell as I recently moved house and did look for them just for nostalgia's sake.

Only other thing I was involved in was being given a character called Azaleth by ex-staff after QGO/GR shut down and Wemade launched a euro server. Character was banned after a couple of months along with a huge list of others, but by that point I had played it for maybe a few hours but had lost interest. Had a new job and was doing top end raiding in WoW.

Apart from helping out Peter Wong with GSP, this server is the first involvement I've had in Mir 3 in the last 6-7 years.

I'd much prefer it if people didn't think I had some crazy agenda, but it is what it is. I enjoy playing the server, I like being active in the community, anything else is just water off a ducks back.

I can pretty much tell who that message was from as well.

To add some more history, just because people like the drama.

I didn't join the testing team until after LAGFFS, was already pretty late on in the Euro server's life time. A lot of the accusations before that point where simply because DA was the dominant guild of the server, surely we had to be doing something wrong.

I had involvement in writing an apology letter from when a GM used Welshy's character and took his Heaven Staff to give to Zirconia. I tested all the mini games on the test server, I tested Sabuk Wall dungeon and boss (that never worked properly), I tested the new dungeon system (at the time it was new) in places like ZT/PT etc where you opened the KR by killing rather than on timers.

Most of the time was reporting bad translations, quests that didn't work, NPC's that didn't work properly, really mundane stuff.

Didn't have any access to the back end servers (not until Games-Masters purchased them later on after QGO folded, and by that time they had been wiped anyway).

Happy to do an AMA, it's been probably nearly 10 years, nothing to hide. Work in a separate industry now and only ever play games for the fun.

Last addition from me, happy for LOMCN admins to look at my account/IP's etc., I've no association with any of the launched servers here.

But like having ocean in your guild or asking gm to lure off doors.
