LOL you misunderstand on purpose? Richman pays £500 for HA dropped from boss private deal other players cannot bid private deal. Richman buys £500 gameshop items sells for ingame gold buys HA. Other players cannot spend £500 today. This makes no difference?
Best would be if richman going to pay to win others can bid against him server team takes commission AND WE CAN ALL SEE AND KNOW who is selling and who is buying.

Hows that a problem?

Its exactly the same as the person who got the HA dropped, deciding to keep it instead of selling it, which is what he WOULD of done, had he not sold it for actual money.

Idiot.

This is a private server, there's no such thing as "selling and splitting" between a group any more, this is not euro and it wont be an open market. Super rares will be kept in-guild or kept by the person who got them, and then given away to guild members when that person no longer needs it.

Or sold for IRL Cash. No-one would put a HA/DSS ect on the open market anyway, so your not really loosing out.

Do agree with the server team taking commission, makes it alot easier and safer and less hassle and earns them £££, win win situation. for the Buyers and the Sellers.

Hell i could even pay of some debts if i got lucky enough.

so, your saying is its unfair because other dont get a CHANCE to bid on an item, and if somone bidded 500m gold + dss+ swog blah blah, ud still have no chance on a bid..., a trade being private has nothing to do with wether its for rl cash or game cash, you arnt making sense to me.
could be im stupid, but i like to think im not

im just trying to understand what he says the problem with irl cash trades are, and how he sees the effect they have on the server, as far as i can tell he doesnt like that they are private and that somone can buy £500 worth of gamegold n sell it in game, but thesr things dont only apply to rl cash buyers, so i dont get how it makes anything unfair

Wrong wrong and wrong
Things arent "kept inguild" unless the guild recruits the buyers and sellers
If ppl can solo get HA and then sell in a private deal then
the server team gets no cash benefit
the buyer doesnt get laughed at for being unable to hunt for himself
the seller gets irl boost for income but who would want to hunt with him again
guilds dont know who to trust
I said let it be open real cash biddibg so we can all see see who is buying and can be laughed at and who cannot be trusted with drops because they will sell them
Levellinbg and selling chars is a separate matter and usually obvious who has been sold.

I think we all agree that terriblen has a whole situation surely only HE can sort.. on the sensible side, DON'T under any circumstances involve paypal.. they are the goddamn internet mafia, they make up rules as they go along.. honestly, start with paypal and you are going to have the whole reversing the transaction bs, honestly so much more headache.. If you want a cut, charge 10% and actually have someone on, who is trusted to take the cash and item and transfer. Much easier, people will always trade R/L, so better to be prepared than not.

possible solution - (If we have an item mailing system)

GM's create a mailman character ingame, People wanting to sell items send them to the mailman char with the price they want to sell it for, GMs add the items that it receives to the gameshop for the price the player wanted, when the item sells the money/gamegold is transferred back to the original seller, and server can take a cut from the sale process.

it could then be done once a week/fortnight so there would always be something different on the gameshop that the GMs dont really need to think about.

alternatively good old player to player transactions not via the GMs receive no support.

my 2 cents :)

Were have you been the past 5 years?

The guilds on this server will all of known each other for the past 7 years, and wont recruit new members. You will have TM, which will be the same people it always has been, a guild full of people from ThreeHeros/FourHeros such as CareBears/Taliban ect. then you'll have Old-skool euro guilds such as Evoltion/Apex.

Anyone who hasn't been in any of these guilds will make up about 10% of the server population, and will either have to, go solo, or get really lucky and be invited to join the "posse"

There wont be an open market mind-set, super-rares wont be "sold and split" between all hunt members, it will be rolled for and given to someone, as no-one will take this server as seriously as they took Euro.

No-one will ever have the chance to bid on a HA, with in game currency like you did on euro.
