wht is the best sql t use with vista? 2000 2005 wht bout this 2008??

i use 2005express, could never get 2000 to work properly even with all the patches,,,, although i know some people have

2005 will cause the server to lag like fk, well on XP especially.. id stay with 2000... tahts wot the files are desgined for

Some people have running servers on vista.
From my experience, the best thing to do is download + install MSSQL 2000, then 2005.

Then tick allow on youre sync center.
Hopefully it should work.

The reason why the databases run so much better on MSSQL 2000 is because thedeath coded them to work around it, so it just makes it run a lot better and smoother.

Use 2000 on vista it does work make sure you use admin rights to install the services and so forth and it works just fine then just use 2005 express management studio to manage the databases i'm sure using 2005 and 2008 works fine as they wouldnt have seriosuly scrapped anything major from 2000 otherwise users would be pissed for having to re-code thier programs and re-do thier databases.
