1) Archer to Lv.22
Archer was VERY easy to level, other than having to buy necessities such as TT, Torch etc it was very cheap! Much like the Wizard you can just nuke stuff without much difficulty...except with the added bonus of not costing MP! Obviously the next attack skill at Lv15 costs MP...but it's not MUCH more damage considering the low stats. I leveled to 22 by only using the pots I'd found in drops (Technically 15 but you know my meaning lol). By this point, I wound up with 55k Gold

I would say most definitely the easiest class to level with at the start, but i'm sure Wizard will still take the lead later on when they have more of their spells and MP at their disposal.

Time to level to 15 (22 through NPC) took approx 3 hours, but this was by doing quests only, not just grinding away. After reaching the main province (Bichon) it took about 3 sets of quests (Snakes, Oma Cave, Mines)

2)Assassin to Lv.22
Assassin is very difficult to level. Unlike the Archer you have to stand toe to toe with mobs, and gold isn't exactly easy to come by so you're fairly restricted on pots.

I didn't die once on Archer, but I died at least 5-6 times on Assassin because I kept running out of pots lol!! Until your Proficiency skill (Level 11 Sin Skill) is at a level were it can increase your accuracy to a helpful amount (I found Lv.2 Prof was helping me hit 90% of the time), you will have next to no accuracy making it even MORE difficult. On top of that, because your wearing Acc items such as IronBraces for example your lacking in that extra defence you so desperately need.

Assassins may be a bit tankier and faster levelers later on....but take my word, it's a bitch at the start. Would recommend a good temper and a fellow leveler!! I actually wound up grabbing 20k off my Archer just to have enough HP pots to finish off leveling to 15 (22) s it was peeing me off so much lol

At a guess, it took me roughly 5-7 hours of play to finish this stage of leveling...practically double the Archer time

Hmm so how does auto attack work on archer then? Every class should attack with swinging their hands if not using a spell/skill. My reasoning for this is you can't range attack without using mp. That sucks big time.

The basic 'shoot arrow' is a skill which you assign to an F key like any other spell and doesn't use mana. If you left click a mob you will walk up to it and swing/punch as normal.

heh his assumption on archers is totaly wrong
info:
- archers use skill keys for range attacks and normal auto attack just does melee hitting like all other class's
- First archer skill is a straight forward arrow shooting (uses no mp but uses arrows from amulet slot)
- after that new archer skills start using mp
- the first archer skill does 'normal' dmg similar to having you swing your weapon (but without the misses from lack of acc)
- the second archer attack doesnt look like it does much more dmg at the start, but when you get it further down the road: archery (first) did like 7-10 dmg on a mob while the second attack was doing 30-50 dmg on the same mob.

best way to compare archer skills is to compare it with warriors: without using mp you can just swing, if you want to do more dps, you use tdb and use your mp, same goes for archer: you can shoot without mp cost, but you need the mp skills to really go faster.

and btw: archer feels like it's on steriods at the start (quick lvling to 15), but once you get higher: you'll notice it's a really slow and steady killer who doesnt get the lvling bonus's other class's get (aka no aoe attacks to make leveling more enjoyable, no pets, no quick running skills, no change in the way you lvl)

*final note: seems archer has to rely more on passive skills that you dont 'see' as much (basicaly they havent even bothered mentioning what any of the skills really do, so you just guess lol)

What's the deal with arrows then? How many do you get in a quiver? Is it just like amulets and poison? Can you collect your used ones from dead mobs?

I still think the basic arrow attack should use mp. I dont know why but I just can't accept it lol.

I dont know what the testers are seeing or being told but surely it would be a good idea to tell them what things are suppose to do ie. spells etc. and what they are suppose to compare too.

lol i dont think theres really anyone testing archer (from what i hear everyone who tried them switched to sin)

you cant collect your used ones, about 750 arrows/'quiver', lasted me arround half an hr i think
and basic attack really doesnt do enough dmg to make it even remotely worth using (even when your mp runs out, you're lucky to kill a mob let alone farm without mp)

and from what i gather: nobody but the coders really know what archer stuff does (hell even nemo seems to be guessing at what the skills really do )
