system restore - deleted pics

im after a few pics that my mum deleted off the PC, i know what day the pics were put on, and were deleted some days after (so iv been going thru those days), to try and restore the pics.

Iv done system restore a few times for between those days, and nothin has chnged so to speek. It doesnt bring bk the pics (like i always though it wud) with going bk to that date etc, but nothin on my system changes at all, iv done things like change bk ground, add new software, change things round etc etc, and all stays the some once iv restored.

is there any other way that i might be able to get them bk at all?? (dont say recycle bin because its not there :P)

System restore only restores system settings, drivers, programs etc.
Data such as word files, spreadsheets or pics will never be restored by system restore.

Were they edited at all or saved at any time in a graphics package ?
Sometimes tmp files are stored by programs and you might be lucky enough in this case.
Did you view them using a browser ?
If so, a copy will be in yout temp internet files folder.

If they were emailed to you, there's a good chance they're still sitting as attachments.

dont always work tho. im sure theres sum CSI **** sum where u cud get that wud restore deleted files lol

they wernt email unfortunantly, they were taken on me phone then i put them on my pc 2 days later my phone broke (bye bye all pics lol) and then mum deleted them off the pc because she didnt know the person (fkin women for u).

i will see what else i might be able to do, i normally back all things up aswell, on ither a flash stick or disk, but didnt this time thinking "oh everythin will b ok like that for a few days* ye what a knob i am -_-

Search for a program to recover deleted files as there are a few out there and they will find them

be aware the more u save now the less chance of recovering the pics, the data on the magnetic strip of the harddrive can be reused at any point.

You can restore information on a hdd thats over 2 years old and been formatted 5 times and still get it back.
