You should probably have learnt what to do before buying it but however;

First upload it to your site to see what it's like.

Then yes, install Dreamweaver, it will help greatly. Then open index.html in it and mess about.

I'm not gunna give any Dreamweaver lessons as with most Adobe/Macromedia products the best way to learn is by doing, trial and error.

Once you familiarize yourself with everything, edit the Template to your desire, add pages etc.

Umm, DW? He doesn't need DW to edit it.

Upload the CSS file, images and HTML file to your webspace. DO NOT UPLOAD THE PSD.

Learn HTML, and know what you're editing. Basically, if it passes a XHTML validator, you should be able to just edit what's in the <p> (paragraph) and <img src...> functions easily, without it bollocksing up the template's structure.

But yeah, you really should think about investing some time in learning, at least some HTML. It's not hard at all.

Like Elmo said, learn HTML cause you will need to know some basics anyway even if you use a program which you can do all sorts of fancy things on it...

I think DW might be an easier way of starting rather than learninfg HTML first lol

Though I've downloaded DW to see what the hype is about, I've never really used it for anything, but, to me it seems whatever you do, concerning a website, you should always have some HTML knowledge.

It's like saying "I'm going to learn how to program!!" and then learning VB6, lol.

not really. because vb6 is a good starting language if you dont know anything. hence why its taught to younger people.

and if you know nothing about html, then DW is easier than writing html in a notepad, as you can actually see what you're creating as you go along (instead of having to save the file every second to look at it in ie)

VB6 is a terrible language to learn. It's a cop-out in my eyes, teaches endless bad habits, which can be very hard to un-learn.

And, I don't see what's hard about Ctrl+S and clicking your browser window.
