we receive countless false reports of abuse, most of the time it all boils down to some petty argument that gets a little out of hand, and people try and find any dirt or words taken out of context that they can use against another player.

Thus sorting the legitimate claims out from false is resource intensive.

Suggest temporary suspension of perpetrator and victim. Say 48hour cool off. Complaint can be withdrawn or an apology given and accepted.
If you are seriously really gonna spend time being playground monitor then you can investigate and ban char selling and gold buying.
This idea of being able to get people banned for abuse was a handy tactic on certain servers. Very useful against foreigners whose only English is insults and swear words.
If you get upset you shouldn't be on the internet.

I'm sorry but this is the internet. What do you expect? People are like this due to anonymity and the fact that you cant physically react to them as they are hiding behind a keyboard. I highly doubt they would ever act like this in real life.

My advise is go on Xbox Live for an hour and play something mainstream like COD (Disclaimer: Other unrealistic FPS games are available). Then once you come back to Mir you will feel better and realise that the abuse on Mir is nothing compared to the rest of the internet.

My point was that using this as a tactic to get ppl banned is a timewaster for the gms/staff. So if you wanna complain about someone then you both get suspended. That should stop a lot of the petty nonsense.

Mir wouldn't be mir without its banter. Either pk em or laugh it off and move on! I remember Gamepot getting stupid at 1 point with game bans for abuse. I even got a 3 day ingame ban for saying "Game's full of retards" on the forum. wasn't even directed at any1 specific haha. Just let um concentrate on cheats etc instead of wastin time.
