I am not sure what the question is...

If your asking do we support windowed mode? Then yes, you can press alt+enter ingame to toggle between the two, use F12 whilst ingame and select windowed mode, or open up your mir2.ini and set Fullscreen to 0.

Currently if you go into window mode it will load in a tiny window which you can't extend to make it full screen.

What i'm asking is if there is anyway to extend the size of the window in windowed mode?

After trying literally everything, turns out if you're on a bigger monitor (27, 24inch etc) just scale the monitor resolution down whilst playing Mir. This will make your background look a little cluttery, but the client will stretch to a playable size.

I do that on 27" monitor that has native 2560x1440 and when I set it to 1600x900 windowed mir is just about comfortable size.

If you start mir in vmware player in full screen mode, you effectively get the windowed mir (in the player window) but if you resize the window of the player in any way by pulling on the window or maximizing it, the buttons focus changes place (like 'hot image' focus spots shift to a different place if you know about website building) and where click works is different from where the button you wanted to click is located, the mapping is thrown off. So that's not the way to do it, just resize the res to suit like koriban says.

Try 1920x1080 res.

I tried that when I was figuring a comfortable size initially at which it is yet not too blocky, 1600x900 is ok and I leave that for other computing too since it is a touch screen and its simpler to hit smaller stuff with my fingers when its set like this anyway. Not that I use touch to much anyway but I could play mir like that if I wanted, its a bit awkward though, specially for doing mouse right click. o.o

Have you got it with the 2 black borders down the side?

I had this for ages and it really pissed me off lol, someone told me to go into my gcard setting and tick the box for gaming that said no scaling, and hey presto, Mir is full widescreen!

I run mir in windowed mode - you set it in options ingame and you need to exit and log in again

when you don't scale it distorts everything

It's all to do with scaling if you've got the black borders down either side.
