Writing a book tbh.

Im actually writing a book for real, ive been planning it for a while, and have written a small porition of it. Ive also sent a prelimiary copy of some of the work to a few publsihers and 2 have contacted me saying they have a base intrest, but are undecided wether to offer me a deal or not.

Now i know the general whinging whiny community will soon flood in and fill this with crap, but frankly i dont care. Ill be releasing some of thw writing from my book on my website sometime soon to see what people think about, and if anyone wants to get into the book, then they can help by giving me idea's and submissions when the book is actually complete.

Anyone who contributes usable work to the book will be paid a modest up-front fee if the book is published. The amount paid will be agreed upon once the deal has been made with a publsiher (should it get that far). This will be a one time payment and will not be based on book sales, or anything else, but a % of the upfront fee i receive.

Is the book based around fantasy?

If so ill be happy to help as i read alot of fantasy style books, and no fee will be nessersary.

Well in all honesty, ive got a few ideas, but im not sure what direction to take the book in. There's also a few other idea's going alongside it. The current book is a "humerous" take on the internet, and people from this site will definately be included in the book, but under coded names.

LOMCN itself will not feature in the book for obvious reasons, but Atomicide.com will feature as part of the setting. The basic idea behind the book at the moment is kinda like "Bridget Jones Diary meets Internet morons + car crash" A kind of parody of the original book written from the point of an internet geek.

What im stuck for are things like situations and names for people. Obvious situations already included are:

Internet Romances - Shemale calamaties will ensue
MMORPGS - and the main characters attempts to be cool ingame etc
MSN - conversations with idiots
Atomicide.com - Discovering the site, and being nailed by the people there

Things like that, i just need to improve and develop some of these situations, and build up the real life dealings of the main character to really start taking the work forward.

Obviously with character names, those of you who wish to get your name into the book can request your name be used as a character, but you may or may not want to do that cos if i get published, and you tell people the character was named after you, they may associate you with the character (who is more than likely going to be an idiot).

I think this is a gr8 idea. A friend of mine was really into making a book of his sitituation in the world of mir, but he didnt get so far into it so it would be gr8 to finally see something published.Even if it aint published I'd really like to see your results

For reasons you can't use the real name of mir and forum, What do the publishers know about it?
