modern graphics cards and mir

Not sure if I should of posted this in another section so please move if needed.

What I'd like to know is does it make a difference to speed changing settings on graphics cards to performance over quality with modern cards

I ask as mine on default plays mir at 60fps if I change it to performance picture quality isn't as good but still hit 60fps and same if I go the other way hit 60fps and have better picture quality.

So does it make an impact on ingame speed choosing one over the other or do graphics settings not really matter now with modern cards?

it shouldnt make a difference. but that doesnt mean it wont.

mir is based (i think) on DX9? if this si the case the gpu from modern times will not be used by the company that makes them with dx9 as now we have dx11 and dx12 is around the corner. some parts of dx9 are left out of the dx updates we use and sometimes these can be parts that an older game could use ie. mir its from turn of the century so is atleast 14 years old. tbh this game may just use dx not a dx that has any number associated with it it is that old lol.

tbh this game should run on any of the intel core series onboard gpus perfectly fine.

60 fps is 60 fps, shouldn't make the slightest difference aslong as it's stable there.

Yea figured that would be the case. I take it with this mir the main thing that effects speed it net connection and ping over computer spec

Having Aero Themes enabled on Windows 7 is the major thing on this mir, using the mini UI also seems to make a difference in our experience.

Adding to this, once you've got all tweaks done and you're locked at 60fps theres nothing more you can do really, the rest is down to your ping and ISP
