Sometimes my pets are tired and want to stay home and not hunt. "Leave them in safe zone" I hear you say, and that's all well and good until i need to log out for a second in a dungeon to answer the door, do my business or whatever, and when i log in they are magically summoned to me. I then have to TT, put them in SZ and start again.
Sometimes I might want to go play in the contest room or level skills on trainer but am prevented from doing so because if i die, my pets die too. And its aggro to go and get more pets and level them up, especially pets from Foxes.
Lets be honest here, with the constant nerfs to wizzes (e.g. firewall, frost crunch, magic shield) without pets they are severely lacking.
Solutions
1) Allow Wiz and Tao to store pets like in Chronicles. Maybe charge a small fee of 1k to store and release as i know Jamie likes a gold sink.
or
2) In the interests of fairness and balance. If you play a warr or sin and you die, then when you resurrect you must seek out the 5 parts of your broken weapon you were wearing on death. You must piece these together and level them back up to the level of your weapon on your death. Then, once you have spent the time and aggro to do this, you can go and play the game with an effective class.
I don't see a big problem with allowing pet storage to be honest, it just give some extra play style options and allows participation in some aspects of the game without the headaches of having to go and find, tame, and level them all over again.
