I am aware this is talked about alot. But is there any way to boost solo levelling ? With a job and even a small amount of social life I really don't have time to grind for 5 hours to achieve about 10%. Group levelling is great but I find myself stood about in sz alot waiting for guild players to do a hunt etc. Most of the bosses I can kill are dead as soon as they spawn as people have them on timers.

Not QQing as I enjoy the server and the total nerds who geek it should be better by all means, but unsure how long it will keep me interested as I cant really do much without higher levels atm.

Anyone else experience this ?

Thoughts please.

Put more floors in BDD bang fixed, BDD is currently raped by 45+ wizz's all them doors that lead to nowhere need's to be full with more floors and mobs so lower level's have somewhere to go solo without having no mobs to kill all the time. < ( Kori suggested ) Could always put a 10% boost on PB mob's would open up another area for solo players.

That's a problem with just about any server. I read about 'wiz raping' and that's an old song, was told on another server that's how it should be
'cause wiz is a leveler class'.

IMO when grouped you should earn the same (similar) exp points per time spent leveling as you would if hunting solo (if in the same cave of course)

If grp exp were penalized the bigger the group, to make it more or less equivalent to solo leveling, pple in grp could still enjoy the same social aspect of grouping with others and you would group up to defeat harder mobs like subs, bosses, or if you wanted to level in cave over your head (level and items you have), which is feasible in group, not solo (like you can go in group to PB @33 and kill Omas at least to some extent effectively in group of two or more).

Of course I am aware that the intention of giving exp bonus to grps is to promote playing the game together. Still if I were to put up server, I'd set it up as just described and also would look for ways to equalize solo leveling abilities of all classes.

... unsure how long it will keep me interested as I cant really do much without higher levels atm.

This is exactly how servers meet their maker, the wider server population hanging on behind the top run away players, geeks, starts to trickle off server and the drain feeds off itself as we all well know how it works (your m8 leaves, you stay but then somebody else starts login on less and less and one day you yourself start looking it there might be greener, fresher grass elsewhere, on some startup server.

But this is somewhat different problem because geeks I think are mostly solo players, just dedicated.

Already discussed in many other threads. Casual solo player?, this server is not for you lol. Server was fun and has lots of potential. All Ive got left to say is, I'm getting bored.

You cant upp the exp for the solo player.
Its a low rate server.

As soon as you start messing with the EXP for solo leveing you end up messing more and more and then get a mid rate server.

The ONLY thing that can be done is nerfing group exp. That way it will be in keeping with a low rate server.

I would just give a 15/20% increase in PB mobs exp , to help boost players from 33-43 , then after 43+ you need to be challenging for kills in yims/rc/BDD, and if you cant do that or are insistent on soloing after 43 as well, then you need to find a guild that will help you do that, or you will forever solo in PB/BDD lol.

Perhaps a noob exp buff of 15% exp as well up to level 40, as lets be honest not everyone has mentoring/veteran buffs available, and the game doesnt kick off now until lvl 40, so i doubt to many people will moan about lower lvls having it easier.

Previous servers always increased benefits for lower level players as the "dedicated" players marched on to 45+ , keeps new people interested and not fall to far behind

I dont think the game actually starts (for a warrior) until you hit lvl 43, poss even 44. Unless ofc you have a very good kit such as highly added craft set or full added DC kit with ACC.

Normal kit such as: Smash set + Trigram + Oma ring will net you about 72DC with a Black dragon slayer sword. This grants you the ability to hit a max of 230 flame sword and normally a 5-80 dmg hit with TDB.

Which as you can agree is poop when a sin can be doing far higher dmg with the same dc or less.

Anyway enough of me moaning about warriors, i wouldn't change class even if you paid me :P
Solo leveling isnt fun in BDD, mobs die too slowly. even with 7 aspeed and CHM.

Have you considered that Mir may not be for you?
I gave up trying a long time ago. I'm simply far to busy, important, desirable, social and cool, lets not forget cool to be trying to compete in this game.
It's a game designed for people with no life outside of mir, a game with no level cap and extremely powerful advancements for time commitments is no place for a casual if they want to compete.
You either play for your hour or two just to chat to people or quit. If you do not enjoy leveling slow why continue? it gets steeper and steeper and you will always be behind.

Perhaps a level boost on mobs is the way to go as kira will benefit even more from this buff.

Example
Lvl 30 kills a lvl 45 mob and gets 8k (4k is the mob xp and 4k is boosted due to the level of the mob)
Lvl 40 kills a lvl 45 mob and gets 6k (4k normal xp 2k boosted)
A lvl 45 gets 4k
A lvl 50 gets 4k

It's the lower lvl players that need a buff

I meant kira and the others will benefit more from a solo boost* sorry

Same can be said for any class, really.

Tao - starts at 43 (poison cloud)

Assassin - starts at level 44? (CrescentSlash)

Wizard - Starts at level 45 (Level 3 FF)

Warrior - Starts... with slashingburst? Hardest class to level by far though, but end-game always outscales everyone so meh.

Said it a thousand times. BDD extension fixes all of this. Group/SOLO exp is not an issue. If you want to level, you put in the time. The issue is the time you put in can't be spent effectively because all the good places are RAMMED 24/7.

The issue with straight up buffing solo levelling is it effects the high levels too, and straight up nerfing group lvling harms the people who actually do what the game is designed around - guild hunting.

If you want people to "catch up" and "compete", give them the means to do so.
