Astral has been created to be a low rate server, using a mixture of mir 2, 3 and custom made maps.
Exp rate will be set at 1, exp tables have been revised along with the exp gained from monsters to keep things simple.
A bunch of monsters have been added from different versions of mir, along with their own custom AI's, some bosses act differently depending on how many people are attacking it, hopefully this leads to some challenging interactions.
We have added a title system, these give players a permanent stat buff, these require a mixture of things to obtain, from quest points, level requirement and gold, among other things.

Weapon glows have been added so they can be seen on the characters gear window, currently around 12 weapons have this feature.

Hey guys, I thought id post a little progress update now we are nearing a stage where a short beta will be launched within the next week.
We have been working on adding a few additional spells, video can be seen below, detailed information of spells also found below.

AbyssalHeed - This is a PVP only skill (warrior) cast upon a player, limiting his vision for a duration, duration increases with training.
SummonInfernalGuardian - This is the first part of the new pet, added to aid taoists for solo leveling if that's your thing.
InfernalExplosion - After summoning your pet, after a duration you will be able to cast this spell, blowing up your pet dealing damage in an area around the pet, deals reduced damage in PVP.
PledgeOfBlood - cast on yourself, or an ally, increasing there HP by a flat %, duration scales with SC.
ProtectionMantra - Cast on yourself, pet or an ally, reduces a % of incoming damage for a duration.
ThorsMight - Cast on an enemy, applies a DOT (damage over time) Ticks every 3 seconds applying damage to target, only the initial strike landing will flinch enemies.
We will be trying a few changes to the flinch mechanic once the beta is live, hopefully to provide a smoother experience, this may yield nothing, but we want to give it a try and see the results.
Additionally 3 new caves have been produced using shanda objects / tiles, these caves will be added throughout the beta, and will be available upon launch.
We are aiming for a beta by the end of the week, or perhaps the weekend, people who aid us in finding bugs / exploits will be rewarded with an amount of game gold upon the servers release.
