I have noticed on the road map there are plans to release the southern dunes (I assume this relates to the content in Korean Mir 3 Episode 4), when releasing this I believe it would be a good idea to also look at the itemisation changes that they made in Korea.

You can pull data from their site on all of the monsters, wearables, and consumables. These were updated during or at the release of Episode 4.

For example, almost all items had a power increase. I also believe that this will make it a lot easier to balance the game, as from looking at what they have done, this was a lot of work across the board, hopefully it addressed some of the old issues of things being very far out of balance.

I pulled a few examples from their site (sorry images don't always load on their site and I'm just using a free proxy to Korea so its not the best):

I would recommend some balancing first before new content!

This isn't new content. This is the whole game re-balanced by the official development team in an effort to maintain the games longevity.

Yeah its more of a change to overall balance and stats, some things have been nerfed, like vigor set (as posted in that thread), others have been buffed. A lot more items include +HP/MP, such as Wyvern Armour and the lvl44 class armours.

High level warriors have 1000+ DC now, wizzes somewhere like 600+ MC.

It is likely some skills changed, I've not looked at that in much detail yet.

thing is alot of the skill scalings on zircon are different from korean official already so it probably would need more than just copy pasterino stats and adding to game. cool stuff though

That’s the thing really. I’ve done this before (not in Mir, but I ran a load of other games), scaling especially where you want a fairly linear power curve is much easier to control via items than via skills.

I can’t off the top of my head remember the Sin skill that was removed, but as an example that could be something worked back in when itemisation across all classes is more balanced. Wemade made huge mistakes in introducing the new class back in the day, to not make it completely unplayed on servers that were already years old with players 60-70+ they ramped the power up and added way more items at smaller intervals. They’ve then spent a huge amount of time since then rectifying that as levels evened out.

It’s never going to be a copy paste job, but for longevity and for looking at adding areas that are say 90-100 or even further something from episode 5 which will be 120+ most likely, you either have to scale down these areas or scale up the players.
