Regarding learning lvl4 skills.

Been farming books to get the lvl4 skills, used loads of books and all have failed so far, skills are lvl3 and i have ben getting 2 messages Failed to learn skill, not enough pages. And Failed to learn lvl4 skill.

Is there a difference in the message, is there a bug or am i missing something. Success chance of learning lvl4 skills seems way too low imo.

I prob have used 150-200 books and nothing, they are meant to be hard to get sadly.

you get 3 messages , Failed to learn skill, not enough pages - that is the normal fail message for the pages bit you see.

the 2nd is failed to learn level 4 skill - means you passed the first bit and would of learned it normally but failed to get lvl 4, the chances are extremely low

Example - Book drops 80/100 pages

Check 1 - kind of like learning the book again as if you didnt have it, you have 80% chance to learn it, if unseccessful then you get - insufficient pages etc. If successful go to attempt level 4 learning (check 2)
Check 2 - So if you have it level 3, and pass check 1. it will then reroll again to see if you have gained level 4 skill, this is based on some unknown formula of current pages / x - apparently my 94 page book was a 1/500ish chance to work. If this fails you get the - failed to learn level 4 skill.

I've been spamming my lotus skills all day from TM, got White lotus level 4 so far... it's not so bad tbh.. Just feel for the noob's there **** all in the TM and when it is there at a way higher price.

the prices for most things are actually staying sensible as so many people are hunting for them so apart from a few skills the prices are not too bad compared to the start of the server

Our members don't need baby sitting...

The only people sending GL and jeleh books are people that they send books out to. Both chars are kitted out fully in items they found themselves or borrowed from friends... none of it is from the guild.
If anything....they lose a lot of gold giving items and books out to guild members.


As for bosses.... we don't hunt scrub bosses. We kill what we need to kill, and leave the left overs for the dogs. Make the most of what we let you take .

If people find it too difficult to get lvl4 skills people will just quit the game. 5 hrs or more yesterday farming these books for 3 chars and not a single lvl4 skill.

I wouldn't quit over level 4 spells, they should be rare to obtain. As long as the increase isn't game breaking, then I don't mind how long it takes me to get them.

Some people are getting old like me and we dont have the time to farm lvl4 skills :sentimental:

Mir has always been about the grind, those who put in the most hours will always reap the rewards. 5 hours farming in Mir terms is very little indeed it took me and my brother 6 days in RMV to get Vigor kit!
Also it’s relative, you won’t want or need all skills at level 4, no ones going to be fussed about Fire Ball or Heal level 4 for example, you’re really only going to need a couple of key spells. I use the term “need” lightly as I can’t see level 4 spells increasing a skills damage / passive so much that it’s game breaking.

Agreed with this, it’s not like the advantage of the level 4 spells will be game breaking. It’s nice to have other things to aspire for other than just basic kit.
