I think we can all agree that they are botting but with someone perhaps monitoring 3-4 PCs at once. Thats why the reaction is slower than usual as they are only getting checked at random.

Still, it must be possible to check the logs and see just how much money these characters have made. If they've made 100,000,000 and have no kit or anything to show for it then questions need to be asked and the chain of where the golds gone needs to be examined. Gold doesn't just vanish, it has to have been transferred to someone somehow.

No, it's really not fair on the legit players.

I spent most of last week in aunts - cashcow was there the whole time.

If you are killing a lure and he rt onto you he will cast chain lightning if there is mobs.

He done this twice and didn't reply to me - I killed him the next time I seen him and got a reply about 10 sec later.....

Why should we put the work in when others are advanced macroing and selling to their mates

What I'm getting at is why should someone be able to throw several hundred £££'s at gold sellers and gain a massive advantage over those who can't afford to do it?

Why is their a need to buy gold in the first place? Not sure ask those in the top 100, can't be top of the leader board , with a red horse etc and spending excessive amounts of hours in Ants for gold.

I never thought a private server could attract gold botters.

No idea, but if you observe CashCow or any of the other people involved they never have any money on their accounts.

problem is you are watching players who are clearly botting, but have a person watching them for when you look to intervene. You have only also only focused on the hunt gold side of it as that directly effects your income. Players are concerned about the in game currency as this ruins the economy/game for the players. As many have said follow the gold and it is pretty obvious.

I see it as no different to someone bug exploiting. If someone was exploiting something to make millions of gold on alt accounts, you would quickly be tracing the gold and banning the main accounts.

As stated by a few, its all well and good stopping them gaining gold for x hours, but what about all the gold they have obviously farmed previously and has been "given" away?

If you are happy to take direct action on that, then surely more direct action against the "supports" of these botters will only help deter them. They only bot because its profitable, take away the buyers kills the bots.

Any action being taken against the buyers of said gold?
Take away the buyers then you kill the botters.
