Level 40 Books - How rare are they?

Hey,

I’m not really one for polls but just wanted to try and get an idea of how rare these books actually are.

Personally I’ve only had one book drop so far (APM/Goru) but it wasn’t for my class and only had very low pages (22/100 - no surprise it failed).

Hows everyone else getting on so far?

iv not had a single book drop at all ( Adv spells or SDC/Demon explo ) im level 57

also my bro has hunted goru for 4 weeks + and not had 1 single book drop level 58 sin.

apparently the books are at 1/80k drop rate so a few people have said anyways.

goru is 100k a mob roughly 80k mobs that's 8,000,000,000 exp before your 100% gonna get a drop, not sure how many levels that is.

at level 57 i need 370mill, so its ALOT of levels.

and after all that the book can drop with 5/100 pages how unfair would that feel...

I think we all can agree that to have a balanced class we must take into account all the factors involved within the game that powers up said class.

So... what happens when you balance a class taking everything into account but 99% players of said class is missing a core component (spell or certain items) that they're not going to get any time soon because of the impossibly low drop rates? well, you get low-mid lvl players underperforming unless you have said core component or you're so high lvl that you've filled that weakness which is exactly what is happening right now.

Yea, the rare books need to be MUCH more accesible to everyone.

Im only level 45 but have been hunting wd on and off for my next 3 books, had a few 40+ books, none for tao so ended up shelling out 4mil for the 3 books, can only hope they work.. :/
Next one is SDC, cant hunt Hyun yet so gonna be along time in fleas

We aren’t talking about book that drop in wd no rare books drop there.

On my way to level 55 and no book yet.

Warriors get the short end of the stick IMO with this as we can't hunt Goru, Holy Palace or Hyunmoon temple easily most of us being stuck in JP till level 57-58.

Not sure if it drops in Lair?

these aren't even the new spells (Korean spells)

8,000,000,000 exp before you get a drop with 100% drop rate thing, and that book can drop with 5 pages.

it just doesn't seem fair or right.

someone unlucky might need to kill 16,000,000,000 before they even get a book with decent pages drop...

and at level 74 you need 2.2bill exp so imagine what level you'd be.. before you get your (level 40 spell)

I get the books are rare, I guess what would bother me is finally getting it to it fail, then if you are that lucky getting a second and it fail.

Maybe implement a system with books (similar to drops) that if you have used a book in the past, you are more likely to learn it next time
Not sure on numbers but might be something to look at...

Knowing my luck Id get a 99 book and it'd fail xD


Alternatively, make it so the minimum pages for 40+ books are 50/100

As I’ve said before you can’t balance a class around skills it might not have. This is why almost all modern games just give you your skills for some nominal cost, it’s easier from a design and balance perspective.

Even the likes of wow where they encouraged huge AP grind gave you something guaranteed at the end.

I’ll see if I can log on kr servers this weekend and see if they have changed much with the skills/books. I was fairly certain they have.

When me and GeeDee mentioned this several times while trying to get adv Bloody Flower, we was told to stfu/stop crying etc etc and carry on.

We pointed out this weeks ago, especially given the drop rate and the amount of exp needed to get a guaranteed drop and if that was **** you was looking at level 80ish for your next one.

Good to see now that other people are experiencing this they are crying about it now it effects them.

Now do you want to take your own advice and "stfu/stop crying" or do you actually want to listen to those that raised this as an issue weeks ago?

Lvl 48 tao book drops there and goes for around 2mil?

I get what you mean, my point was its the same for slightly lower levels, and reading these posts its seems as i get closer to 50 im going to either have to grind out 15 +mil and risk SDC i buy not working or find groups to grind hyun?

Basically i was agree with the post, as a lower player the thought of working to lvl 50 and then not being able to get SDC for sometime after is very off putting!

Someone seems like a salty bitch, maybe people who were lower level didn’t realise the severity of the situation and it has only come to light now there are more people hunting these areas and the % of mobs killed Vs. books available is truly reflected? #mindblown!

Can someone who has just started hunting there, get to the subs in Goru after the scaling change there?
