At the moment they are pretty **** and can’t really tank any mobs, does anyone know if they can tank more damage if I were to use phantom kit? Many thanks

The lv50 pet is much better for tanking than shinsu and jin, as far as I know more phantom doesnt give them any extra stats.

They can't be that bad SDC has 3x my HP and tanks up my damage like a boss. A 53 Tao can 1 hit me by exploding it and I've got 1300+ HP with 115 MR. I don't think they need to be making the Tao pets any stronger....
Nah I’m not referring to demon pet, just the 2 skeles and shinsu could do with more ac amc. But not sure if phantom affects this. First 50 levels seem to be the biggest challenge!
Not everybody is level 50 to learn the spell however the 50 pet is fine tanking.
As an experienced Mir player and tao I know full well that Jin skele was a lot more stronger defensively than it is on here.
I think it's the opposite to what kamikaze said. On global jin skele was praised as a tank pet until you got it and it could barely tank a big rat on its own.
The difference you're probably noticing is that shinsu is the tank pet here and jin skele is the damage pet (mine has about 180dc with strength of faith). Even with this change jin skele feels more tanky than I remember.
They're both far more tanky here than they were on global. My shinsu can tank an icy goddess for long enough for me to kill it. It couldn't do that on global it would have been killed in 3 hits.
This is all based on stats as of last Sunday. If they have been nerfed since I apologise.

Jin could tank ice maidens on global and USA a lot better than on here, granted SOF is a lot better. Having just got it I’m enjoying it, just frustrating having to summon pets every 20-30 seconds, already a struggle with keys for a tao!
Really? Maybe I'm just remembering it wrong, I just remember them being so useless I wouldn't bother with them whereas here I use them quite often.
You might not be aware but you can assign 24 skills. You will need to add key binds for spells 13 and above in the options.

Tanks damage like a boss? Dude pet is **** for lvl 50, went in despair valley ( lvl 30 map ) and a bunch of insects can easly kill him ... Taos have become a joke now with all the nerfs and element nerf
Tbh switching shinsu and Jin roles is a nerf anyway as shinsu hits 2 spaces (2 mobs potentially) and Jin can only hit 1 in melee.
