Server Closing?

Is the server closing down since the team have moved onto OldSkool??

@Jev can we get rid of this forum if it's not actually getting updated or used properly?

Don't think we should be allowing LOMCN to get filled with fake servers if the Devs have moved on.

Or at least give people an answer what the hells going on.

I for one donated on this server and didn't recall. Did we get an answer? No.. time for transparency.

One of the three owners are working with @Bon
As far as I’m aware, the apoc team are still paying for advertisement.

I haven’t heard any word from the team in regards to if the server is still being worked on or maintained.

Sounds like one for the admins.

guess we will just keep our pants pulled down.. glad to see my donations are being put to some good use, at least the adverts are still running but the developers or developer have moved on to another server.

This shouldn't be accepted and hosted by LOMCN if no one seems to care.

LOMCN admins need some stricter rules in place if you ask me. We're all quick to defend recalls but there's no care for the opposite parties who have invested thousands in total.

How long does this charade need to keep going on for? Until the legal case is closed?

We usually remove servers that are offline rather than no usercount. We usually find that out by..

* Mir tracks showing red
* Server owner saying their shutting down
* Users flagging they can't connect and no response from GM and been down for more than a day or two

Any of the above we will start looking to close and remove the server.

However this looks green on mir tracks, server owner still paying for ads and no users are saying they can't connect just that the server isn't being worked on / no usercount.

So my biggest question... Can you connect to the server? If so that why it's still there as it's still a playable server even if nobody is playing it.

I have read your other comments and I think your saying your annoyed this server is still being advertised when it is not currently being worked on even tho they got lots of donations.... If you could write a rule what would it be? You cannot accept more than one donation a day? You cannot have an item costing more than £1.00?

You say there's no protection for people who have invested thousands.... If a server takes thousands of donations then closes the server the next day I would like to think we would take action but getting that money back wouldn't be up to us. Were just admins on a forum helping server owners connect with potential players. I think it would be silly of someone to invest thousands on a private server with under 2 years up time and that person may need gambling advice of which I am not trained or qualified to give. I played apoc and didn't invest thousands.. or hundreds....or tens...

One thing I will say, It is a challenege to get any response from the server team.

I think the slot machine mechanics were not okay at all.

The server team are 99% unresponsive to any sort of communication.
No updates, no new content, nothing.

Man this all seems really petty to me. unless your paying someone 7 days a week for there work you have no say what they do in there free time with their coding skills. Just seems like every other server owner right now is shitting themselve that bon's server is going to take all the users.

Here's an idea if you wanna keep your users or increase them improve your own servers stop worrying about what he is doing.

Any money you spend on any game should be considered as lost money. You aint getting it back. You paid for that service there and then, not for a guarantee or a store of value or anything of that nature.

That should be in your server advertisement on all crypto payments.

Odd to see you justifying the Apoc developers actions to abandon the server, they must also have a long and trusted reputation for longevity. Middle finger up to all the players and donators, love it.. not even trying to hide it.

You must be the type of kind that gets everyone to pay for the rounds at the pub and then has to leave when it's your time.

I think some of you forgot that this is not an official platform. There are no gaurantees, no ombudsman, no one you can take legal action against, no paid staff to police regulations. You are not giving your money to a company, you're giving it to Joe Public down the street.

I think some of you forgot that this is not an official platform. There are no gaurantees, no ombudsman, no one you can take legal action against, no paid staff to police regulations. You are not giving your money to a company, you're giving it to Joe Public down the street.

But your hosting their forum and advertising platform, also taking money off them monthly..

The servers currently a scam, but if that's fine because there's no rules.. then I guess it's just a lesson learnt for everyone to just deal with it..

Moral of the story... tough luck everyone, shouldn't be spending your money on private servers.
