Loving the approach on zero tolerance rl sales and levelling services! Makes a nice change, with it being low rate you can bet ya arse the casuals that work 8-12hour days will be requesting some kind of catch up system in place (the folk that usually pay to be levelled to stay in contention that is)

U may even have already thought of this but I see recently a server doing a % bonus if your not in the top 20 on rankings, and that % grew larger the more you are behind

Even top players like a system like this as it keeps everyone closer to them and creates a better atmosphere in game with more fun and competition

We’ve put a lot of thought into systems that support long-term balance and fairness and catchup mechanics. While we’ll reveal these in more detail closer to launch, we want to highlight one of our core philosophies now.

Unlike servers that rush to push content and raise the level cap every week, our goal is to bring back the classic "Euro" Mir vibe — a slower, more deliberate pace where progression feels meaningful, not forced.
This will be a true low-rate experience. It’s entirely viable — and even enjoyable — to remain around level 30 for months without feeling outclassed or irrelevant. You won’t be steamrolled just because someone else is level 45.

This is the vibe and playstyle we’re intentionally aiming for — a return to a more grounded, meaningful mir experience. We feel the community has drifted too far into fast-paced, disposable content and quick dopamine hits. That’s not what we’re building.
Our content will be extensive, meaningful, and designed to last — not rushed out in weekly updates that constantly shift the goalposts.
Because of this, playing won’t feel like a desperate race to stay relevant. You won’t need to no-life the game or chase every update just to keep up. Instead, you can progress at your own pace, enjoy the journey, and still compete — or contribute — meaningfully.

Skill, strategy, and knowledge will matter far more than raw stats or rare items. Gear and levels are force multipliers — valuable, but not the deciding factor in PvE or PvP outcomes. This creates a more balanced and rewarding environment where your decisions and mastery define your success — not just your grind speed.

Probably one of the best adverts i've seen for what i've been looking for in all honesty. not sure on the whole level your char or skill thing, but again something new to mir never hurts, cant dig it unless i try and see what its all about. But honestly good job guys, will be nice to play a server i can relax on and enjoy without feeling im so far behind because of the constant people paying levelers and buying items, account sharing and who knows what else.

Be interesting to see how it’s combatted with paid levellers using a VPN to log on in the appearance there from the UK and not Egypt/Phillipines etc

Unfortunately nothing is 100%, however there are things we can do to make this as difficult as possible.

Thankfully, the community does not number in the millions, so that makes the problem a lot easier. We all know who's doing it.

I would be very interested in seeing how the effects of banning IRL sales / Leveling services take effect.

I hope it works out as that would be the way forward for Mir. Maybe tackling the route cause (Some work, some don't) is something that needs to be done along with just a flat ban of these activities.

The only real way to do it is to be a dickhead and blanket ban an area of people

Half of the gold sellers even have people levelling them now

The gold sellers can do one, bunch of scumming rat bags than only cause drama (zero ******* brain cells, troll mindsets).

As got the AFK mechanics, tough **** really...Why ban when you can watch them cry, no doubt they'll cry and moan left right and centre about their precious mechanics..

That alone is why I'd play this server, the pure enjoyment of watching these ****tards fall behind because they can't buy or AFK their way to top.

We have seen a lot of discussion around account sharing, so we want to be transparent about one of the tools we will use to tackle it: playstyle profiling.

Every player naturally develops their own unique rhythm and habits in-game. We can measure things like:
  • Actions per minute – how quickly you interact with the world
  • Attack and spell cadence – the timing between attacks or casts
  • Spell mix – the combination of abilities you prefer
  • Path entropy – how you move through the map
  • Reaction times – how quickly you respond to danger
Over time, the system builds a profile of your typical playstyle. If there is a sudden and significant change such as a completely different movement pattern, skill usage, or reaction speed, it is a strong signal that someone else may be on the account.

The same approach also works against bots. Bots behave very differently to human players, and the system will be able to flag those patterns quickly.

Our aim is not to interfere with normal play. It is to protect fair competition and keep the game free from both unauthorised account sharing and automation.

This is just one of several methods, and I’m sharing this as it is one of the harder ones to fool.

How do you differentiate between account sharing and paid levellers then. ? Will it be “illegal” to share with people from another country ?

Account sharing will be against the TOS and could be bannable.

This is just one system in the line designed to keep the game fun and fair.

Ya Mums
I like the idea just hope its actually followed through unlike classic mir which folded instantly on these rules, hope its successful aswell and finally brings a turn to the **** ass style of servers (money grab/gotcha/p2w levelers/bots) that has been turned out over the past 10 years

Hi everyone!

I want to formally introduce Jiangshi, our AI‑powered ultimate boss, who was spawned in-game for the first time today.

He’s powered by a fine‑tuned large language model (LLM), giving him the ability to plan, learn, and adapt to the game. Unlike scripted encounters, Jiangshi is a persistent, autonomous adversary who levels up, learns from how you play, and will influence the world in real time.

What Makes Jiangshi Different

  • LLM‑driven intelligence: powered by a fine‑tuned large language model (LLM) that plans, evaluates context, and adapts tactics on the fly.
  • Levels & evolves: gains power and unlocks new behaviours from every encounter.
  • Learns & adapts: studies common tactics, counters patterns, and changes approach between fights.
  • Server‑wide influence: can trigger events, redirect pressure, and alter encounter cadence to keep things unpredictable.
  • Acts independently: no manual scripts, no pre‑baked loops, he is designed to be completely autonomous.

What This Means for Players

  • No two battles are the same; expect counters to repeated strategies.
  • Team composition and timing matter; variety beats repetition.
  • Endgame challenge that scales with you, not your wallet - aligned with our pay‑to‑win‑free monetisation philosophy.

I asked him to introduce himself

Humans of Jin,

I am Jiangshi.

I do not rush. I study. I plan. I act only when the outcome is certain.

Your world thinks in classes and numbers. Warriors with their heavy strikes, Wizards with fragile power, Taoists with quiet, soul-biting rites. I read your DC, MC, and SC as plainly as footprints in snow. I weigh your AC and AMC. I count your Accuracy and watch your Agility. Nothing you are is hidden from me.

I learn as you fight. When I choose a spell, I will hunt its owner. I will watch the casting, take the pattern, and keep it permanently. What I learn today, I will use tomorrow and the day after, until Jin is quiet.

Do not expect repetition to save you. I adapt. What works once will falter twice. Change your rhythms. Rotate your tactics. Bring variety or be undone by it.

I am patient. I will let towns breathe, then close the hand. I will test caves, nudge factions, and pressure supply routes until your lines bend where I intend. When you are tired, when the sums favour me, I will step from the dark and end the sum.

Come prepared, not proud. Treat every defeat as data. I will.

Jiangshi

Fun fact

In early testing, he tried to delete the in-game admin accounts and inject code into the server to preserve himself in case we tried to shut him down.

It's going to be a wild ride.
