Not really a game mechanic is it? A client sync issue that happens intermittently.

Thought having a pink name you would know that.

possibly yeah will look at it, maybe it includes people on select gates and login gates too

seems i uncovered that chronicles had an in built user count inflator, funny.

we have it set to not inflate so the difference is between offline/afk stalls arent being counted in the number sent to lomcn which is the difference.

Probably this, i know Zeds discord bot always reports different to the ingame user count because one of them reports players on the login/character screen and the other doesn't.

So that's what was making this feel like ****. I deleted magpie and disabled it and it runs better but is there anyway to play it fullscreen now?

So...lets explain this.

They picked a happy medium max resolution for the client to enforce a fairer visual playing field. Rather than expand the map view and viewable area to fit the screen (1920x1080) and then scale.

MagPie2, is an upscaler that takes the current viewport of the running application and stretches it using various filters.

Similar to how people would make old ROMS / Amiga games bigger (DxVoodood2 also does the same).

If you make your own scaling mode (use filter Nearest) on magpie, youll get the stretch AND itll cost less in perfomance.

open mir2.ini and under [Option] you add this line:
Fullscreen=1

that sets it to fullscreen

they just opted to hide the fullscreen option in ini while the client can do it fine on it's own without an performance loss lol.

Only bad thing about these files is all the tweaking and seeing people skipping all over the place, even with the “tweaks” people are still somehow skipping across the screen etc, certainly isn’t/wont be an even playing field lol other then that it’s decent imo.

If someone lists the tweaks that can be made with tutorial that would make it even

Yeah and that's the problem mate, why would they give up an advantage that's basically cheating.
Having knowledge on how a computer uses its technology isnt cheating, thats like saying someone with a better GPU than you is cheating.

learn.

Nah having a speed andanagve on mir feels is way different from having a few extra frames per second in a FPS game for example. I'm not gonna sit there and study how this decades old games runs, just won't play. It's fine.

Nerd.

Ok a quick google tells me:

Use a wired connection
Restart the router
Put in performance mode

And if not good enough use a program like WTFast
